Again...

I mean unfortunate to lose a couple of meters in the stupid descend.
Going downhill is a part of this sport just as much as going uphill.
Nothing to do with fortune at all.

They = Costa and TvG. Yes.

Hey, Mollema is Dutch. It's only fair to blame the world for his "misfortunes". |

Yup, I just think he deserved it the most to win here. That's why I think it's too bad. If you guys don't agree I couldn't care less. |

I was in a restaurant watching the race and there was a stupid guy commenting the race constantly.
First he shouted at "Beat" Frank to "show it to those foreign assholes". Then he was hoping that Kreuziger falls in the downhill (confusing Costa with Kreuziger). And finally, after Frank crossed the finish line, he said: "We" did it, "we" are still leading the TdS.

I wouldn't consider him a sports fan. In my opinion, he was too stupid to understand the concept of "fan". |

Watch out for Andy Schleck, he's going to shut us all and win the Tour by himself against the all mighty Sky train! In a more serious note, great win for Rui Costa, hopefuly he can win this race again. 13 seconds seem enough to overtake Frank, especially because the time-trial isn't entirely uphill, and Costa is, in my opinion, a better climber than Frank. |

We all saw that today, he's definitely a better climber than Frank. I think Frank is a bit better at TT'ing though, and he's also supported by the mental 'strength' of the jersey and the home public. |

Not really, in California he finished 9th in the time-trial, behind Cameron Meyer. Then we have 38th in the Col d'Eze time-trial, and 175th in the Paris-Nice prologue. Last year, he even lost for Costa in the Suisse time-trial: https://www.cqrank...ceid=22097 In fact, his best result in a time-trial is this one: https://www.cqrank...ceid=20566 which I think it was also a hilly one, not sure though.
EDIT: https://www.cqrank...ceid=11520 actually, this is his best result, but was 4 years ago.
Here are Rui's results, and you can find that in time-trials, he has always had better results than Frank: https://www.cqrank...;current=0

Ok, didn't think that. Thought Frank was a bit better, but you also have to consider that Frank is at his top form now. Maybe that will prove to be decisive. |

I don't think Frank is in topform now, he's supposed to go to the Tour in two weeks and he was only send to Suisse as a helper for TVG.
I rather think that Costa in a good form (not topform) because he's supposed to defend his title. |

I think Costa should be able to get more than 30s on Frank in the TT. Kreuziger remains the greatest threat, he should be able to make a very close time, but from what we have seen today, maybe Costa has a slight edge. I don't thin TVG will be able to put 1:17 on him come Sunday.
That is, if nothing strange happens tomorrow |

Kelderman is going to crush them all Sunday if he really goes for it, mark my words
Well, okay, not all, but at least 80% of the peloton
Edit: Instead of Sunday, it said tomorrow. Now laugh at me

You're obviously free to think whatever you want, but I fail to understand why Mollema would deserve the win more than Costa or Van Garderen.
He got dropped in the descent and only came back because of the fallen banner. If anything, I should think that'd make him less entitled to the stage win, since he wouldn't even have been in the front group under normal circumstances.

So Kelderman will crush everyone on a sprint stage?
How hard can it be?

Costa deserved it most of all today. He did most of the work uphill at the end and took the entire downhill + last corners + started his sprint in first position. |

Oh shit, I meant Sunday. Damn sprint stage, forgot about it with the thoughts of Suisse having 8 stages.
But right, no need to change my expectations, that'd be cowardish. So yeah, Kelderman is going to crush everyone tomorrow!

I wouldn't rule out an attack holding off the sprinters tomorrow. There's a 3rd category climb just a couple of kilometers from the finish. I don't know how hard it is, tho.
Should suit Sagan very well.

Those 20 seconds time penatly he got on stage 2 could cost Mollema a podium spot. Now he'll probably end 4th/5th |
