GP de Romandie
Stage 3
Today is hilly with quite a lot of flat until about 30km from the end. I came 2nd last year and want to improve on that.
The Race
Millar in the break
Millar swapped with Maaskant as breakaway rider.
Albasini attacked with 75km to go.
Rojas Gil fell with 71km to go. He was quickly on his feet and back in the peloton
With 18km to go Gerrans attacked. I followed right behind.
I attacked with 8km to go and no one followed.
With 500m to go Gerrans was leading from Me, Wegman and Siutsou.
And Gerrans takes the win and the leader’s jersey. I come 2nd in this stage for the 2nd year in a row.

Okay so I got 2nd again which is great but I wanted to win. Gerrans was
too strong on the flat and managed to hold it on the hill up. I just couldn’t do it. The good thing is I move up to 3rd overall only 28 seconds behind Gerrans. With a flat stage, a hilly TT and a hilly stage left to go, I can easily get that overall back and defend my title, but nothing is certain so we will have to wait and see what happens.

GP de Romandie
Stage 4
Today is the only flat stage of the race (besides the prologue). There is a big hill near the end so it will be the sprinters that can climb who sprint for the win. Sagan won this stage last year. Rojas Gil is here and so is Peter Sagan. Let’s see if Rojas Gil can finally beat him.
The Race
Millar was our man for the break today.
Rojas Gil won the first sprint point.
With 48km to go we had a plan going for going up the climb. Albasini would lead with me on his wheel and Rojas Gil on mine. And we would try and get a gap.
Nicolai and I attacked on the downhill.
On the downhill Hunter crashed and then started the crash. 1, 2, 3, 4 ,5 it just kept on going. It was a massive crash. The main sprinters were
Hunter, Ventoso, Cavendish and Demare many more. Van Garderan, Pinotti and Siutsou were also involved.
With 6.5km to go I had 37 seconds on the Gerrans group and 31 seconds behind the original breakaway.
De Gendt had 1km to go and was going to take a great win. I was still
ahead of the Gerrans group.
And De Gendt takes a great win. 2nd goes to Voss and 3rd Breschal.
I get caught but still get 9th place.

Well I had a pretty good try. It lasted for about the same as last year. I am hoping I can get time back on Gerrans and Hermans in tomorrow TT. Let’s see what happens.

To my disgust the game decided to crash on this stage. I was getting really angry so I just simulated. Damn game.

Over in Turkey
Today in Turkey the team took 2 more big wins. Michael Kreder was able to beat everyone and take the overall there and Steele Von Hoff, our young sprinter was able to win the points jersey with 1 stage win and many more podiums and top 5's. What a great show the team put on.
Transfer News
Well everyone knows that Garmin has been offering me contracts left right and centre but I feel like a change for next season. I want some more support in the climbs and hills then I do here. Don't get me wrong Dan Martin is a great right hand man but I just don't feel he can help me when we get to the big stuff in the Tour. Anyway I am looking for a new team next season.

At a risk of not signing anyone, I usually resign the rider with my current team, then you simply have to change the team in Rider Contract and Transfers in the Fast Editor, very easy |

@IanButler-Yes but I prefer letting the game do what it wants. It's not realistic but it is fun to get surprised where all the big riders end up.
@Sutty-Yeh. He is looking for somewhere new to go. He is definitely not going to stop going 100% for the TDF though.

Tour of California
Well the Tour of California starts today with a hilly stage. Last year Contador took the win here ahead of Evans and Krueziger. This year I hope to take the win. Let’s see what happens.
Spoiler Stage 1
Stage 2
Stage 3
Stage 4
Stage 5
Stage 6
Stage 7
Stage 8
Stage 1
So today we finish on a hill to decide who the first overall leader will be. Let’s go racing!
The Race
With 40km to go Farrar was the last rider out front. He had 2.04 on the peloton.
He was caught 12km later.
Nicolai attacked with 14km to go.
Gilbert attacked early on the last hill. Schleck followed.
Contador and I attacked with 8km to go.
Me and Contador bridged to the leading group so now it was a 4-man leading group.
With 3km to go Gilbert had attacked and was leading by 32 seconds.
Gilbert is exhausted when he takes the win.
Contador took 2nd and I take 3rd.

GC Rankings
Well I am happy with my race today. If I can just stay with the other mountain climbers and maybe get some time back every now and then I can beat them all up Mt. Baldy. With a good start to the race I am very happy.

Tour of California
Stage 2
A flat stage, Farrar definitely wants to win today.
The Race
I took the mountain points and go into the lead of the classification.
Rohan Dennis going into the breakaway.
With 100km to go the break had 7.01 on the peloton.
With 30km to go the leading group of 12 had 3.26 on the peloton. It’s going to be close.
With 15km to go the break had 2.17 on the peloton.
With 9km to go the peloton was bringing the break back but was it going to be enough?
1km to go and the break were just about caught.
But Kopp held on to take the win. It is like the 1st stage of Paris Nice all over again. EBH was the first sprinter coming in 4th place.
Farrar was the 2nd sprinter over the line in 8th place.

Well we got some leadout practice. Even though we didn’t win we still had a great leadout and would’ve gotten 2nd if the break didn’t stay away. Congratulations to Kopp and Netapp. I got the mountains jersey and I am hoping to keep it.
