Tuesday, July 3 - Tour de France, Stage 3: Orchies - Boulogne, 197km

Yeah, Peter Velits surprised even me Smile
He is very good in these type of stages, too bad he lost time at stage 2, as i think he could be the strongest from OPQS with his very good TT (especially in 3rd week) and decent climbing.

Still late top 10-15 is maybe possible, or he will hunt stage glory, dont know.

He has my sympathies till his 2008 Tour debut with his effort in the queen stage over Tourmalet, when he was in attack with Schumacher and few others, great stage that was.

Yep it stage which isn't easy to forget great effort by him back than.

Do you know why he lost that time to seraing. I can't imagine he wasn't good enough judging from his third place yesterday.

He had a mechanical and was not able to return back without bigger help from teammates Frown But shit happens, better than crash out like some others.

Why Peter Sagan gets the hate for his celebrations, everyone has the right to celebrate in the way they want. Footballers do extravagant celebration and nobody's gives a crap (Balotelli exempt) so why cant Peter Sagan after a stage win. Don't you think casual hands in the air is boring? Why not try anything different?

Actually i can't believe that I am getting into this discussion again.
But if you like to compare him to balotelli - I will do it too. See you don't get my point. It is not the style of his celebration, that is totally fine with me. It's more when he does it. It's like balotelli running towards the goal with the ball and pulling his shirt off/ celebrating and then shooting the goal, looking like - you are not good enough to stop me anyways.

I don't get why this is an issue to you. Nearly every rider celebrates before the line if they get that chance, why is Sagan different?

It's almost as you're saying he should only celebrate when he gets home so nobody feels disrespected.

Meanwhile main reason why he celebrates before and over the line is simple. Because tv cameras focuses on the rider before he crosses the line. If he would celebrate after the line, nobody knows about it

I don't think Sagan has been disrespectful in any way during that celebration. He's obviously a really nice guy.

Just compare the interviews cyclists do. Cavendish comes across as a total idiot in nearly every interview he gives. Sagan seems to be a really nice guy, just watch his interviews
