It also says he has apologized, so that's the end of the matter for me.
This.
Let's move on with the Giro instead. A witch hunt isn't necessary in my opinion.

Good job to the Farnese rider who hopped over Cavendish as he fell. And Phinney's tough for a young rider, he shoud be fine.

Just hope that both Pink jersey wearer Phinney and stage winner Cavendish are both fit enough to continue in the race after the rest day
It would be a shame to lose two great riders so early on |

Also, did anyone see Didi about 15km away from the finish?

I don't think Cavendish has anything serious, and Phinney has nothing broken, so I'd say Cvendish is sure to start tomorrow, and Phinney would depend on how he feels after the rest day.

He's wearing pink, so I think he will start anyway. They might not wait for him though if he feels bad.

I've seen Cavendish do exactly the same move a few years ago. But you didn't hear every British fan crying disgrace at that moment
Well maybe if a dutch rider was ever close enough to the front of a race for anyone to care about you might cry foul too.
Fortunatley for you I can't see that happening in the near future.
Cavendish has always been a very safe sprinter. His only blemmish was his crash with Haussler in which Haussler moved accross just as much as Cavendish did. |

I also don't think the general response to his (and I say it again) dangerous move would be the same if the where in opposite situations.

Sometimes I really think this anti-cavendish stuff is laughable.
All he's done is be the most prolific sprinter Cycling has ever seen and some people will try to have a dig at him wghen he has clearly been wronged by an idiotic manouvere by a rider without the skills and strength to sprint safely.
The fact is the reason Cav fans have never been in up roar about something Cav's done is because is is one of the safest sprinters out there and has never done anything in a sprint that can be condemmed as dangerous.
This crash was caused not by a mistake or an accident like the crash in stage 2. It was caused by a moron with no regard for the safety of his fellow pro's which has been proven by his failure to publicly appologise.
But anyway. Haters gonna hate and Cavendish will continue to dominate sprints so what do i care. |

He has done dangerous sprints (Tour de Suisse 2010), all sprinters have.
But you are right in saying he is a safe sprinter, he doesn't go out and cause accidents as a general rule. There have been occasions where he has seen danger and BACKED OFF, sacrificing his chances of winning.
Just sayin'

Seriously people, stop with this. The guy has apologized. his maneouvre was (very) wrong by all means, but no need to keep the witch hunt.

I'm abit surprised about the reaction this has gotten. It was a horrible move, but the exact same thing has happened hundreds of times before, why are some people still ready to lynch Ferrari?

I tihnk it's because there is alot of brits here that is a fan of Cav and is lynching a rider for what has actually happened many times before. |

The answer is pretty obvious, but I think it's better to definitely move on on this issue.
Let's go, how many dozens of minutes will Euskaltel lose in the TTT?

More importantly: Will they have finished before the start of the next stage?
