Thanks everyone
I have decided to write the 3 Italian races together in one report! And thank you johannes-w, I love when I get new followers
But before the 3 Italian races I will announce the last signing for next season, and he is a very good climber to give Sky some depth behind Kreuziger.

Final Rider Joins Sky!
The final signing that Sky have made for next season, is here, and its a big one. Bauke Mollema, a strong Dutch climber joins the team after riding with Rabobank the last 5 seasons, or 6 if you count Rabo CT. He joins the team at the perfect time, as Sky are on the rebuilding phase of the team, after our clear-cut leader Wiggins decided he'd had enough. Mollema is making a big case to be leader in atleast one Grand Tour next season, but so far this season he has 0 CQ points, and hasn't even had a Top 10 in his 45 days of Racing.
Mollema should play out as the Co-leader to Kreuziger if they both rider the Tour, but in most other races, Mollema will likely be leader. Not only that, but he's only 25, and can still improve a lot over the next few seasons, maybe one day overtaking Kreuziger as the Leader on the squad. But for now, its just a really great signing which gives Sky some depth for mountain climbers, something we really need.
Mollema's Stats:
How do you think this signing is? Is it unrealistic? I was hoping to go mostly british but there weren't really any good Brits available other than Tennant.

I like it . Especially since he has had a really bad year, only makes sense he wants out of Rabobank after that kind of year. Welcome to Sky.

@ Mresuperstar - Thanks, I was hoping to get exactly that kind of response. I guess he might also be mad that Rabobank are in the Conti division.
@ johannes-w - Thanks a lot! I like Mollema too, he was one of my best riders I had in a career with PCM 08 almost 3 years ago.
@Freitas & baia - Glad you like him. I'm hoping he can bring results, but he hasn't done that well this season, so hopefully he improves his skills.
@DJP - Thats strange, I was sure I told you I signed him
@ markene2 - Glad I have another follower. I'm hoping to have this career going a while, I'm barely even jealous that my PCM 11 doesn't work, so I have a lot of motivation to play right now.
And just to let everyone know, there will be a blog coming soon, which will implement a brand new feature, which should make David feel more like a person rather than just a rider in PCM, and of course I hope its an interesting feature too! You can also thank DJP (if you like the idea) since he helped me think of it.

Hello everyone, its been a while since I last wrote in my blog. My last race was the Vattenfall Cyclassics, where I did rather poorly, being dropped by the peloton. However I think I'm coming up to the Italian races in a little better form. I'm still getting lots of nice words from people back in Canada, and that really motivates me to do better each and every day. I'm not sure what to expect for the 3 Italian races. Last year Damiano Cunego swept all three, but after him, there were a bunch of riders I'm on level with, so I'm hoping for atleast on podium place, I'd say. Wish me luck!
Ask David:
A new section in my blog is "Ask David". After every single one of my blog entries I will let the first person to respond, ask David (in the future I'll write in 1st person just for now I want to explain it this way so it makes more sense) a question personally, in which he will answer in the "Ask David" section on the next blog entry, and so on.
If the first person to respond neglects the opportunity to ask a question, the next person to respond will get to ask a question, but only the first person to ask the question each time, or else I might end up answering 15 questions each time.
So who will have their question answered first in the inaugural "Ask David" entry? And if anything is unclear, just ask.
Also to make it clear that it is a question directed at David, please write
"Question for David" (without the quotes) before your question. That makes it clear for me, later. Thanks. And I guess the only other rule is you cant ask twice in a row to be fair to "all" the others wanting to ask.

BTW I just realised your avatar was a red-eyed bunny smoking a cigarette or cigar. For the longest time I had no clue what it was.

Tre Valli Varesine
August, 19th, 2012
David's Plan:
The stage is hilly, and Uran is here to go for the win, so I will work for him, but if the opportunity comes up, I will attack late in the race.
With 4km to go, Uran makes an attack, catching up to the breakaway which hasn't been caught yet.
But Rebellin, holds off Uran and takes the win. I had a tough day and was dropped late in the day, but I managed to avoid any time gaps, not that it matters in a classic.
Result:
1 | Davide Rebellin | Liquigas - Cannondale | 3h02'01 | 2 | Ángel Vicioso | Androni Giocattoli | + 22 | 3 | Fabio Calabria | Team Type 1 | s.t. | 4 | Carlo Scognamiglio | Acqua & Sapone | s.t. | 5 | Nikolas Maes | Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | ... | 12 | Rigoberto Urán | Sky ProCycling | s.t. | ... | 77 | David Veilleux | Sky ProCycling | s.t. |
___________
Coppa Agostini
August. 20th, 2012
David's Plan:
Now another hilly classic is upon us, and this time, the hills are a little further from the finsih. Were hoping Uran can still do well, but if not, Cummings will be the leader. I'm still hoping to get in the break and win though.
Well I couldn't get in the break, but Michael Barry could. The break was eventually caught though.
And in the sprint, Uran took the other punchuers by surprise taking the win, just holding off the other riders. A great win for the team.
Result:
1 | Rigoberto Urán | Sky ProCycling | 5h02'46 | 2 | Kevin Seeldraeyers | Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | 3 | Juan José Cobo | Geox - TMC | s.t. | 4 | David Zabriskie | Team Garmin - Cervélo | s.t. | 5 | Dario Cataldo | Quick·Step Cycling Team | s.t. | ... | 57 | David Veilleux | Sky ProCycling | s.t. |
______________
Coppa Bernocchi
August, 21st, 2012
David's Plan:
With other two races, not being successful for me, I'm hoping for better thigns to come in this race. Its also my final race day before Canada, so I want to do well and maybe show the team, I can be leader.
With Uran and Thomas our two protected riders, I took my chance and attacked on the last hill of the day.
Looking for time, I nearly made it to the BOTD when the pelton caught me inside the finishing town. It was a good try atleast.
And in the sprint Geraint Thomas takes the win. He was originally leading out for Sutton, but Sutton never came around him, and so Thomas took almost the whole sprint on the front, just holding off the others to the win.
Result:
1 | Geraint Thomas | Sky ProCycling | 4h55'34 | 2 | Francesco Gavazzi | Lampre - ISD | s.t. | 3 | Manuele Mori | Lampre - ISD | s.t. | 4 | Roberto Ferrari | Androni Giocattoli | s.t. | 5 | Peter Sagan | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. | ... | 156 | David Veilleux | Sky ProCycling | s.t. |
_____
I have now come to the conclusion that I shouldn't have flags in the results. Every time I visit my flags album my internet freezes.
