Anyway, enough of that. I don't really care.
On the other hand, I do care about this (GC):
185. SORENSEN Nicki 18 TEAM SAXO BANK 15h 21' 57" + 27' 57"
186. DUMOULIN Samuel 173 COFIDIS LE CREDIT EN LIGNE 15h 24' 05" + 30' 05"
187. MALORI Adriano 207 LAMPRE - FARNESE 15h 27' 12" + 33' 12"
188. BOLE Grega 202 LAMPRE - FARNESE 15h 27' 24" + 33' 24"
189. SORENSEN Chris 17 TEAM SAXO BANK 15h 27' 29" + 33' 29"
Danish riders suck
Just wait till the mountains.. Then they will advance at least 5-6 places up! |

Without the "support" from Johan Bruyneel, Hincapie is useless in the mountains. Morabito could offer some help for Evans though.
It's dangerous to predict the winner on the basis of the standings this early in the race, just look at the Giro. However, my bet is still on Contador to come out on top. He seems to have the same kind of luck that Armstrong had a few years ago. |

Pretty harsh comment about Hincapie. Not the Bruyneel bit but the "useless" comment. Hincapie will bury himself for his teamates. He may not be a climber but he will be able to provide some support. I don't expect him to be there on the last Col but he will be some help.

His team is worse than the one he had at Lotto - and he's probably tired after having been in top form (or near it) since the classics.
When we hit the mountains, bye, bye Evans |

Good point. He did lose time according to Letour's website:
1. HUSHOVD Thor 95 CERVELO TEST TEAM 4h 49' 38"
2. THOMAS Geraint 39 SKY PRO CYCLING 4h 49' 38" + 00' 00"
3. EVANS Cadel 121 BMC RACING TEAM 4h 49' 38" + 00' 00"
4. HESJEDAL Ryder 54 GARMIN - TRANSITIONS 4h 49' 38" + 00' 00"
5. SCHLECK Andy 11 TEAM SAXO BANK 4h 49' 38" + 00' 00"
6. CANCELLARA Fabian 13 TEAM SAXO BANK 4h 49' 38" + 00' 00"
7. VAN SUMMEREN Johan 58 GARMIN - TRANSITIONS 4h 50' 31" + 00' 53"
8. WIGGINS Bradley 31 SKY PRO CYCLING 4h 50' 31" + 00' 53"
9. VAN DEN BROECK Jurgen 101 OMEGA PHARMA - LOTTO 4h 50' 31" + 00' 53"
10. VINOKOUROV Alexandre 9 ASTANA 4h 50' 31" + 00' 53"
11. MENCHOV Denis 191 RABOBANK 4h 50' 31" + 00' 53"
12. ROCHE Nicolas 81 AG2R LA MONDIALE 4h 50' 31" + 00' 53"
13. CONTADOR Alberto 1 ASTANA 4h 50' 51" + 01' 13"
... so, I don't know. Vaughters should know better
I guess it's because Contadors rear wheel was damaged already with 30 km to go, but he didn't want to change it because that would have cost more time. So since the mechanical didn't happen inside the last 3 km he doesn't gain back the time. |

Yesterday Hagen gave away his bike to Bradley Wiggins after they had gone in the ground. Today he stayed with Wiggins for some time, but after that he just went further back, don't know why.
He did some heavy relaying as long as he could for Bradley when they came behind, closing gaps. He was quite empty after that, so that's why he fell further behind. |

You're forgetting something. The Giro was hell more difficult than the Tour is. This year's Tour has only 1 HC difficult mountain-top finish (Tourmalet). So, we'll live and see.

In 2009 there was only Ventoux, but Evans still managed to lose 45 minutes in the GC.
Basso kicked his ass in the mountains in the Giro - no way does he stand a chance in the Tour vs. Contador and Andy. |
