i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-72.jpg
Here we go!We talked a lot about the favorites so let´s see who´s gonna be the winner on this rainy day

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-50.jpg
There were a few escapes in the beginning but it wasn´t really serious ´cause they were caught with more than 100 kilometres to go

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-49.jpg
In the pack, our team was at the front together with Quick Step and Sky

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-49.jpg
With more than 78 kilometres to go Marcel Sieberg tried something! He attacked on a short cobblestone section

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-49.jpg
We didn´t expect that but Tom Boonen went after him!It seems that Quick Step takes us really serious today

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-47.jpg
Just a few metres later Boonen had already passed Sieberg with more than 75 kilometres to go!Looks like Boonen has a big plan;Sieberg was brought back into the pack just a few kilometres later

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-45.jpg
With 40 kilometres to go Tom Boonen was still in front but no one wants to follow him except his team-mate Chavanel!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-40.jpg
Next moves came by Hoste,Devolder and Quinziato

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/9-28.jpg
Cancellara didn´t want to stay in the group anymore,he was also making a move

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/10-22.jpg
Here we go with the next action! This time by the Spaniard Juan Antonio Flecha! This looks like a great finish. But where is Eisel, was he already bushed or could he counter these attacks by the favorites?

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/11-17.jpg
Well.Eisel could stay there in this group together with Van Summeren and Pozzato. He wasn´t able to keep it up with all the leaders for the moment

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/12-13.jpg
Devolder was the first one reaching Boonen after a solo ride with only 26 kilometres to go

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/13-10.jpg
Behind them,Cancellara and another Quick Step rider with Chavanel were able to follow them

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/14-9.jpg
But they were not the only one coming back to Boonen and Devolder!Hoste and Flecha could get in this group, too

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/15-5.jpg
And the question was ,who´s gonna be the first one making a move out of this amazing group?Flecha answered this question! He was the first one with only 20 kilometres to go;Was this already the final move for the win?

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/16-4.jpg
Devolder tried to go after him while Eisel was still in one group with Pozzato and Van Summeren maybe 3 minutes behind Flecha

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/17-3.jpg
Next counter attack! This time by Hoste,if he could reach Flecha or Devolder?

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/18-2.jpg
Well, they were all brought together in one group except Flecha who was still in front of them by 30 seconds.Boonen,Cancellara,Devolder,Chavanel and Hoste were in this first chasing group

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/19.jpg
But Devolder was not tired! He attacked again out of this group with only 9 kilometres to go

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/20.jpg
One kilometre later Leif Hoste started an attack

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/21.jpg
It was an amazing race full of action!Next moves came by Cancellara and Tom Boonen

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/22.jpg
With only 6 kilometres to go Devolder reached Flecha while they came into the city, just a few metres left to the velodrome!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/23.jpg
Hoste was their first chaser at the moment

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/24.jpg
But he was followed by two national champions called Fabian Cancellara and Tom Boonen

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/25.jpg
When they came to the velodrome Devolder got a small gap to Flecha who looked really tired

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/26.jpg
Behind them,Cancellara leads the group with Hoste and Boonen and it was sure that they would not reach Devolder and Flecha so they only were sprinting for the 3rd place

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/27.jpg
Congrats to Belgium!Stijn Devolder takes the great victory; He´s the winner of Paris-Roubaix 2010 in front of Juan Antonio Flecha from Spain and?

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/28.jpg
It´s Tom Boonen in the end!He was the best sprinter there and so he got the podium for his team while his team-mate is celebrating his great win.Eisel won a close sprint against Van Summeren for the 13th place.I think this a great result for us because the others were too good today!

kind of a weird victory shot with the saxo rider being ahead but obviously a lap behind.

Yes you´re right but that´s a disadvantage of the velodrome

Thanks hellboy, when the game won´t crash in the end there will be huge reports of the next classics like Amstel Gold Race ,too

After we could celebrate great results in the first part of April we continue with another stage race in Spain called Vuelta a Castilla y Leon!
As we expected there are no big riders that means our team has good chances there. Our team-captain there will be Maxime Monfort who will not ride the Giro so he also won´t ride the Tour du Romandie.Monfort showed us an amazing March last month so we´re hoping for another big result by him!His biggest help will be Siutsou who wants to improve his shape for the Giro.We also sent a strong sprint-squad to Spain with Grabsch,Sieberg,Matthew Goss and our sprint leader Andre Greipel. They want to shine at stage 1 and stage 5 which are really flat.Grabsch´s main goal should be stage 2 which is a longer time trial while stage 3 and 4 have a final climb where Monfort hopefully can show his strength! As I already said the competition is doable. The biggest rival should be Caisse d´Epargne with Ruben Plaza as their leader and Garmin with Tom Danielson.Xacobeo is also taking part with Cesar Veloso. All in all we should expect at least a podium in the overall by Monfort!

Why? Don´t you like Boonen?

I don't like him, because he beat Cancellara in cobbled races. Smile

Vuelta a Castilla y Leon

Stage 1 : Paredes De Nava - Baltanas

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-73.jpg
The first stage is the first flat one!Favorites for today´s stage win should be Mondory,Weylandt,Wrolich,Fischer and Greipel

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2-51.jpg
There were some escapes today such as Rodriguez but they had no chance to survive at the front

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3-50.jpg
Because of the strong wind today the pack was divided up into many groups but our team could stay at the front except Siutsou and Saramotins who worked a lot

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4-50.jpg
With only 9 kilometres to go there was a bad crash in the first group!Greipel,Grabsch and Goss could stay there just like Monfort,Van Garderen and Sieberg

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5-50.jpg
We could build the fastest sprint train with Goss and Greipel but Weylandt took Greipel´s slipstream

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6-48.jpg
Last kilometre for Greipel and his rivals;Greipel took the lead of Goss while Weylandt was still at his backwheel

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7-46.jpg
But then the Quick Step rider made his move and he could pass Greipel

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8-41.jpg
And that´s it!Weylandt takes the stage win in front of Greipel and Wrolich

Vuelta a Castilla y Leon

Stage 2 : Palencia ITT

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/1-74.jpg
After the strong wind yesterday many riders lost a few seconds to the first group. The biggest favorites were all in this first group so they are still in competition!Today we will see if Plaza,Danielson and Cesar Veloso are in a good shape or if Monfort is without any rival there because his shape is great! The second stage is a 28 kilometre time trial and the favorites should be as I already said Monfort,Plaza,Danielson,Cesar Veloso but there are many mores who could take the stage win such as Grabsch,Saramotins or Sieberg

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/2Peraud.jpg
Peraud was the first one setting a really good time with 38´31!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/3Saramotins.jpg
But it wasn´t for a long time ´cause Saramotins was in an amazing form!He beats the leading time by 15 seconds

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/4Elijzen.jpg
Next one was Elijzen of Omega Pharma but he was one second behind his team-mate Peraud

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/5Monfort.jpg
And then Monfort came already with a great time! His showed us again that he is in a fantastic shape and so he takes the lead of his team-mate Saramotins by 36 seconds!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/6Plaza.jpg
Just a few metres behind was Ruben Plaza with a great ride! His shape is amazing as he can take the lead in the end while he´s 10 seconds faster than Monfort!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/7Danileson.jpg
With Danielson came the next favorite but he couldn´t persuade today! He lost 56 seconds to Plaza!

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/8Grabsch.jpg
The German Champion Bert Grabsch set a great time, too. But he couldn´t beat Plaza and Monfort´s time while he is 24 seconds behind Plaza

i908.photobucket.com/albums/ac288/FedExpress/9CesarVeloso.jpg
Cesar Veloso was the last one of the big favorites today and his time was really great. He couldn´t take a podium but he was only 3 seconds behind Grabsch! All in all it was an amazing team result today with 5 Columbia riders in the Top 15
