Always choose your races in the UK carefully. Only race in areas which have motorbike coverage, and race in harder races as they are generally out of the way of cars! Plus don't do TTs

lol tell me about it. I've had two crashes when racing on roads (albeit in time trials) and both have been caused by other cars. Most drivers in the UK are such w***ers!
A friend of mine raced in a junior race in Belgium last year and apparently the racing is so much better there.
In cycling countries like Belgium, France and Italy even the most aggressive drivers understands that cycling is a part of life and takes care when they see cyclists.
It's a whole different story in places like England and Norway. |

Not really T-Baum, is it really weird to be thinking about the safety of young people. No, now shut up. |

Elite races are run alongised juniors races
They start at different times. Usually there isn't much traffic to stop anyways. RR are held in the boonies around here.

In the few races I've done, (remember im 13) 3/4 of the time the lane was closed. We weren't allowed to cross the lane and there was a guide car in the front, and a police car in the back.
The other race was in the middle of nowhere in the mountains and we had support car in the back, that helped out.

Sometimes; California is probably different [read: better] than other states though. USCF, especially at the higher categories, sure. But all my collegiate races were on "semi-closed" roads with partial wheel support, with the exceptions of the TTTs and crits. You're right about the RRs though..it can be fun just trying to find your way to the staging area sometimes, but traffic isn't really much of an issue. |

My F**king BB is messed-up, and I don't have the tools to fix it. So i'm probably going to have to wait a week to go up to a buddy house to get it worked out, needless to say I am FUCKING PISSED |

I think you need a "facing" tool Deadpool. Actually it would be better if i knew what crankset and BB you have. I assume its a 10 speed and sealed cartridge. |

I am looking at getting a TT frame
I have my eye on Jamis
https://www.jamisbikes.com/usa/bikes/0...itht2.html
Or Blue at this point.
https://www.rideblue.com/t16.php
I have a coach who sees potential for the best TTist in my age category in me and is willing to give me a bunch of stuff if I can get a frame.

I was also hoping to get some more options from my fellow riders. Specialized and Treks are too expensive and everyone has cervelo's.
