Up the road, the sprint is approaching. Boonen is tucked in behind Ballan, its up to the Italian to try and outfox him now. Its no discredit to Burghardt to say that 3rd is where youd expect him to finish.

There is only 59 finishers. Laurent Mangel is the last one over the line - but he only just made it
De Gendt, Nooytens, Offredo, Caethoven, Bourdoxhe, Hayman and Talabardon are so so close to the line but not close enough as the auto time limit kicked in.
Dumoulin, Lagutin and Roche were just a kilometre or so away, ahead of a group of 6 including Wiggins and the leading Accumalux riders Einsle, and Sijmens, plus the leading Gazetta rider Flens

Warner Brothers come away with the team prize
SIC Radical were the only team who had every single rider finish the race, 12 teams had at least 3 riders finish, while 17 teams had at least 1 rider. No rider from Accumalux or La Gazetta dello Sport was to cross the line today.
