Does Thor know there's another category 1 between him and his two beloved sprints? |

He has. Disqualification aside, he'd still win comfortably.
Say he doesn't take any points today and none are scored until the Paris sprint. And no disqualification.
Cavendish would be 4 points behind hushovd.
Champs probable result

1 - Cavendish
2 - Hushovd
Cavendish would finish 1 point ahead of Thor.

Agreed... Cavendish should stop whining and enjoy his stage wins. It is very sad fora great rider to be such a small person... |

But what if Thor will win even without the disqualification? |

That could be why Hushovd is in the breakaway today. To put the green jersey beyond spedculation and thus shut Cavendish up. |

Thor would've probably tried even harder than currently, had his advantage merely been 4 points. He'd have a decent shot at building a lead above those 4, and that'd pretty much guarantee him the shirt. So putting aside the disqualification, Thor would most likely win the jersey anyway. |

Thor, from what i've learnt from this Tour, is more arogant than cavendish, just better at hiding it, but since last wednesfay (ish), it's started to come out.

I know to little about Cavendish or hiss arrogance, except for what I've seen this far in the Tour. No doubt is Hushovd arrogant like hell, but the way he's riding, it looks like he would have won it anyway. all we should do is subtract 14 points from the difference at the end in Paris, and we'll see how it would've been.
If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell.

Someone is really bitter his favourite rider has been beaten.

Arrogant ,but hiding it... or not arrogant, how do you tell the difference? Is Jens Voigt arrogant but very good a hiding it? |

yeah... sure...
Who said Cavendish was my favouite rider anyways? Thats right. you.
Truth is, i have about 30-40 favouite riders, but as you're not in my mind, you wouldn't know. I'm wanting fairness from both riders and judges, and several times during the tour, that just hasn't happened from the judges.

And by the way: Is it just commonly accepted, that the disqualification was unjust? A case could be made that Cavendish was too wreckless. |

Sure, i am. Because the wrong decision was taken.
Too often we see decisions that should be taken that wasn't.
And finally when we see a decision where there was nothing wrong and there is a punishment (let's not forget the financial penalty too!).
It's wrong.

Thor Hushovd winning a cat. 1 mountain sprint...I wonder what odds you would've got betting on that before the tour. |

Im not gonna get into this Cav/Hushovd fight yet again. But i am going to announce that i think i just quit being drunk during the stages after turning on the TV and seeing the fattest norweigan alive, winning a mountain sprint.

Perhaps we need a bet:
Will Thor win Green by more than 14 points. (or whatever the number of points Cav lost in the DQ were)
If he doesn't... it will be a tainted win. Doing something like that in a questionable call in a sprint that wasn't even for the stage win is crappy. |
