They still have Kirchen, Hincapie, and Eisel, all of whom could do well today, even if Cav can't handle the finish.
Good point; however they wasted Kirchen in the train.

Hushovd did what he had to do, but failed. |

Also Freire 4th coming from like 12th position....
This time, Cavendish definately wins thanks to his train |

Too bad for Hushovd but it was really exciting. First sprint with several trains fighting for position.
I think Hushovd tired himself with fighting for position, he was all alone for over a kilomiter and had to come past several riders to have Cav´s wheel.

well that proves once and for all that cav will always beat hushovd in a straight sprint. as for farrar, to me it looked like cav accelerated past hushovd with ease, looked across and saw farrar was coming past and then accelerated again to mave away from farrar. in the end he won comfortably. farrar wasn't making any ground in the last 100 meters or so once cav saw him coming.

The hill definatly suited Farrar more than it did Cavendish, Hushovd etc.
But well done to the Columbia train

Is that 4 for Cav?
Does that make 8 total? I thought I read somewhere that the record for TDF wins was 8 for a british rider. Cav's equaled that... in what... less then 30 total TDF stages? |

I wonder why Quickstep or Cervelo aren´t interested in doing own trains...

Quickstep are the most pointless team in the tour this year.. all that money on getting Boonen in, and for what?
- And yes, Cavendish has equalled british record of stage wins.
