I notice the game never crashs in classics, it only crashs during stage race. Not know why this happens(maybe intermediate sprint/moutain points?) but it still crashs even if I deactivate replay. |

Hello,
I recently joined the forum and have just found the thread. I have not bought PCM 09 yet and have never owned any PCM game. However after reading this thread, I am a little hesitant to purchase the game. My computer meets all the requirements but I am not sure about the graphics card (do not know how to find info about that). So if someone could tell me where to find the graphics card info it would be greatly appreciated! Sorry I am not very computer savvy |

You could try the demo of last years game: https://www.pcmdai...hp?did=510
Technically it is the same game, so if the demo runs fine then the new game should run also. (You have to play a normal stage with mountains to the finish line to test it) |

Thanks lachi, you gave me the same link on the other forum and it worked great! So thank you and when I purchase the game I will probably be back with more questions lol. Do I need to install the patch when it is downloaded? |

To play the demo you do not need a patch.
After you have bought and installed the game you have to download and install the patch. Make sure to download the patch for the correct game (PCM09 or PCM08). You only need to download the latest patch. |

Try disabling the replays in the Options menu. |

Are you sure that it always crashes, even in Time-Trial-Stages?
Have you disabled the replays?
Have you set the lowest settings:
(I hope you get the picture even if it is in german) |

Deutsche sprache ist kein problem Lachi....
I´ve donne all the things, downloaded Everest and i have just one problem on my pc,.....just 5% free space on C:
You think this is enought for the crashes?
I notest that i have the directx 9.0c,i made the download from 9.26 version, installed but i still have the 9.0c(looked with dxdiag).
In which folder must i directx install? C: or Sistem 32?
PS-Lachi..thanks for trying to save my life.

9.0c is the latest DirectX for Windows XP.
DirectX does install itself. You cannot select a folder. If you can select a folder it is only used for the extracted files.
It does not matter how much % of free space you have. But it is rather important how much MB of free space you have.
BTW: You have not answered my 1st question.

Well,i made a time trial stage and didn´t crashed, but maybe was just "luck"...on C: i have 3,83 GB free,on G: i have 197GB free(externe festplatte)where the game is installed....disabled replays, play only on window(800x600),will try with all in 0,but i had a very worse videocard and could play normally(pcm 08),i bought a new videocard just for pcm 09 and 1 GB extra RAM,now is 1533MB RAM,i know that all these problems derivate from one "treiber",but i don´t know wich one. |

The picture does not tell you anything about the old card. Ask the guy who installed the new card if he deinstalled then old drivers.
As I have said before, check the RAM and or Virtual Memory. |

Just to let you know my situation. I own a Dell 1730 laptop with a dual nVidia 8800 GT SLi GFX card. I was getting crashes almost every other race until I turned off replays. Since then I have had no trouble at all! (I'm running the game in max resolution and with full graphical settings) |
