And of course there are the cases of oh-so-many riders (Pantani being the biggest example) whose body became so dependant on EPO that they had to take on shot every 3-4 days otherwise their body would not produce any new red blood cells.

Heart attacks also become frequent later in life. Bugno's had six if I remember correctly.

Question is: is that because of EPO or because of sporting in general? Because we all know that professional sporting is not healthy at all for your body. If you are only banning doping because of heatlh and safety of the cyclist, you better ban cycling as a whole...

But oke, doping will never be legalized, cyclists will always be cheating and we will as ever watch the sport we like. After all, doping is no issue for me.

hey professional sporting doesnt kill you like doping might do. The damage that it may be associated with does only, sort of, make you old faster, by unbalancing your organic defenses progressively.

doping boosts any kind of disregulation related to the type of metabolism which it is associated with, like isso's Pantani example.

These are 2 different situations. One can be absolutely reversible with a moderated kind of life after the sporting career, the other may not be...
