Vuelta al Tachira
Startlist:
Leader: Gómez Marchante
Sprinter: J. Hunt
Protected riders: X. Florencio, V. Gustov
Domistigues: G. Rasch, D. Lloyd, I. Konovalovas and E. King
1 Stage was a 110km race through El Toyaco.
It started quite slow, and a breakaway of 7 riders got loose where Konovalovas were in, but with 21km to go they were caught by a fast riding peleton. It ended like predicted in a mass sprint were Zberg could claim the victory in front of Candelero and Rodriguez
X. Florencio was my best rider with a 5th place
ps. I'm new at this so I had some problems with the photo making, There will be a result list and pictures in the future, I just made some mistakes at this one. Sorry. |

Vuelta al Tachira
The race:
Another easy day where another breakaway got away from the peleton
Todays breakaway, nothing speciel happened, but Konovalovas showed that he is in good shape.
Puncture by Gustov! No he lost nearly 9 min. They only had 40km. to go.
The Breakaway were caught and now for the mass sprint, Florencio and Hunt in an "alright" position.
Ilesic showed great power today where he beat them all and took his first victory. Florencio came in on a 4th, well it is better then yesterday

Vuelta al Tachira 5
A flat stage but with small hills making it hard for the "real" sprinters, maybe Florencio can get his stage win?
Early breakaway with gustov.
The peleton rides slow, and the breakaway increasing the gab.
Gustov has great legs today, and it looks like the breakaway will win today.
And there with 6km. to goal Gustov attacks. gaining 0'21
The others can't catch him and Gustov takes the stage win. great work
Result.
1 Volodymyr Gustov Cérvelo Test team 2h22'53
2 Luca Damiani Colovita home +0'13
3 Tim Johnsen OUCH s.t.
22 José Angel Gómez Marchante Cérvelo Test Team +0'46
27 Xabi Florencio Cérvelo Test Team s.t.
113 Jeremy Hunt Cérvelo Test Team s.t.
140 Daniel Lloyd Cérvelo Test Team +4'57
142 Ignas Konovalovas Cérvelo Test Team +7'13
143 Gabriel Rasch Cérvelo Test Team +7'45
144 Edward King Cérvelo Test Team +8'33
Marchante lost his jersey to Zberg, to bad, but he can get it back in tomorrows stage.

Australien Championships
Riders:
Simon Gerrans
Brett Lancaster
Hilly stages, maybe Gerrans can take a win?
Todays breakaway and they are riding with great speed.
It will be a fight in the breakaway, the peleton is to far behind.
Gerrans tries to get a better postion, but he doesn't get far.
The favorites are riding together.
Its a fight between Sutton, Bates and Lapthorne.
And Sutton is the new champion on road.
Result:
1 Cristopher Sutton garmin - slipstream 4h35'41
2 Darran Lapthorne Rapha Condor s.t.
3 Gene Bates Drapac Porsche Cycling s.t.
13 Simon Gerrans Cérvelo Test Team +5'28
45 Brett Lancaster Cérvelo Test Team +8'29
Simon Gerrans on a 13th, well its okay...
Once again sorry.. |
