Valverde is still allowed to ride the tour and the veulta it might only be banned in italy. so that would be a relieve, like the italians are innocent, ricco, piepoli.
Then contador should be banned too, Its unfair if Contador gets away with it. He will be back Valverde, i will still support him because he is one of my idols n always has been since i started watching cycling.

one stage of TdF is in Italy - so no TdF for him...
The UCI had said previously that if CONI finds him guilty, the UCI will investigate whether or not to make the ban global. I see no reason why they wouldn't.

In other news, the percentage of people stupid enough to actually believe he's innocent is down zero percent, to a new total of zero.
Go suck on a lemon Piti.
You are underestimating the blindness of his fans
Says a guy who no doubt firmly believes the Schlecks climbed at 425watts on nothing but bread and water
Anyway, on Valverde, in a fitting twist, the president of Caisse d'Epargne (in english "savings box" ) is being investigated by the ethics committee for alledged "creative accounting".
As cyclismag puts it...."The box is no longer safe" (or something)

"We all know that wasn't the real footage of the Worlds anyway. That was just the staged footage to perpetuate the coverup that it was actually Vinokourov that won the race."
The spanish authorities are now out in force to defend Valverde.....like they do every one of their sports stars who get caught.
I've been saying for a very long time that this would happen. You can expect no less from people who did all they could to defend Pedro Delgado when he tested positive at the Tour in 1988.
The scary part is that they got Delgado off the hook on a technicality. Hopefully not so this time.
That's one side of it. The other side of it is that there are actually authorities in spain who are only pissed at CONI for judging the case alone. Those authorities actually want to prosecute Valverde. So that's a good part.
This is going to go on for a very long time.

Same thing as happened to him, will happen to Valverde. The pressure will build, the big races will not want him and he'll eventually take his medecine like a big boy and be back in a couple of years.
He'll also drop Oscar P in it, and Kloden will become the new winner of the TdF 2006.

Indeed..that is always first thing what I think..Basso. He was smart one..and was acting almost like matured person..take your penalty and life go's one..
Valverde hasnt sleeped few past years so well..and have a sweet dreams AC.
and also Landis case..he lost all respect with this stupid and long court case.

Rene Mandri the unlucky estonian that missed most of last season due to a very bad crash, has crashed again, during MSR he was in the same crash as O'Grady, at first he could go on but had to stop a few kms later due to heavy pain from the femur. Now he has do 1 adn a half month of clompete rest, untill they will have a look at it again to see if he can begin to train. And there the first half of his season ended.
