Tirreno Adriatico
Stage 4
A sprint stage today, so pretty relaxing for me I guess.
But I had wrong, crash time again!
And unfortunately I hadn't luck this time, on the downhill I fell to the ground.
I got up on the bike again and I could feel pain. But I wasn't injured, puh. It wouldn't be nice with a injury before Giro d'Italia.
At the front, Oscar Freire took the win ahead of Allan Davis and Fabian finished 3rd!
I crossed the line a few minutes later, luckily I wasn't injured..

Tirreno Adriatico
Stage 5
Welcome to the deciding stage of Tirreno Adriatico 2009! Fabian Cancellara's got a great position before the stage and everything points at Cancellara winning here today. I'm pretty nervous before the stage I must say, here I have a great opportunity to pick my first ProTour points!
Linus Gerdemann was on of the first real time trialers who started, he took an early lead. But when I crossed the line, he wasn't the leader anymore. A great ride by me!
Tony Martin did a good ride, but he couldn't match my legs..
Next up of the favourites, Levi Leipheimer. He did a pretty dissapointing ride, and I still had the lead!
Pinotti really did dissapoint, 19th of the day..
Jose Ivan Gutierrez next, even 2 seconds slower than Fränk Schleck, who rode really great today.
Next up Cadel Evans, even if he did fall at the first stage, he rode great today. He beat my time, and I went down to the 2nd spot...
Basso, slower than Leipheimer..
Dekker, 3 seconds slower than Basso..
But the winner today was, of course FABIAN CANCELLARA!
The camera wasn't working in the end so unfortunately no picture..
I finished 3rd, it was awesome to be at the podium in a ProTour race. Only 1 point, but still I have showed my skills in TTs.

Tirreno Adriatico
Stage 6
Fabian Cancellara took an easy win today! No one could threat him, and this Tirreno Adriatico has just been amazing for us!
GC:
I don't know what happened but, first the sprint trains were controlling the sprint. But with about 5km they almost stopped riding, and Fabian just rode to the front even though I didn't do anything. When the sprint started he even had a 25 seconds gap to the pack.

Tirreno Adriatico
Stage 7
Time for the last stage here in Italy and our goal today is of course to keep Cancellara out of trouble.
We succeded and in a really weird sprint, Massimo Corti won todays stage!
Cancellara finished 3rd in the sprint.

Gustavs Diary - 20th of March
I'm home again, after a very succesfull week in Italy. Cancellaras win was just amazing. I must say that I had very lucky, because I don't feel anything from the crash.
Next up for the team is Milan San Remo, and there Fabian will lead the team together with Stuey and Matti. I won't compete there and now I'm going to take a little break before I start racing again.
I will probably make my comeback in Tour de Romandie and that will also be my last race before Giro d'Italia. TdR suits me very well, with 2 time trials and 1 mountain stage I think. My goal is to finish top 10, and I really think I can do it. I'm developing all the time and I feel much stronger now, than I did when I started this season. Hopefully I will also feel really prepared for the Giro after Tour de Romandie.
After the cobble classics and MSR I will try to talk with Fabian so he can tell me what happened in the races and maybe also give me some pictures from the races so I can report about them.
For the Hilly classics I think Kolobnev will help me with pictures and tell me a little about the races.
Here you can see my progress this season, I must say that I'm proud of myself.

Milan San Remo
It's here, the 100th edition of Milan San Remo. Tom Boonen is the absolute favourite, but I think that we can make it to the podium.
Fabian told me that the beginning of the race was pretty relaxing, just a small break who got caught easiely.
The usual break, in MSR.
The pack stayed together for a long time but after the last climb, only about 15 riders were at the front. Including Matti, Fabian and Stuey.
It was game over for Matti, he was so tired that he couldn't even sprint. But Stuey and Fabian gave it a go. As expected before the race, Boonen just used his power in the sprint and took an easy win.
Stuey and Fabian was tired, and they could only finish 6th and 7th. Even though the riders ahead of them was weaker sprinters, they just didn't have the power left..
A pretty good MSR for us and I think that we habe to be pretty statisfied even if we had hoped for a podium spot with Cancellara.

Ronde van Vlaanderen
Time for the first real cobble classic this year, and of course it's the RvV!
The pack stayed together for almost the whole race and the SaxoBank riders had a pretty realxing day.
But at last the pack splitted up. Matti, Fabian and Stuey was on the right side with all of the other favourites. But unfortunately, O'Grady and Breschel couldn't keep up with the pace. Suddenly Flecha and Nuyens from Rabobank got a gap, and it grew, and grew.
So Fabian had to respond. He attacked and were closing in all the time. Nuyens rode away from Flecha and nobody could threat him for the win.
A great win for him and he deserved it!
Fabian did catch Flecha in the sprint, but was it to late?
The answer was YES..
A good race from Cancellara and he is now leading Pro Tour! Next up, Paris Roubaix, were Fabian hopes to win.
