cool. looks like you've had a very good start to the season. that gives you 21 points and a pretty big lead. shame there aren't any pictures of either of your wins.

anyone else got any placings that they want to claim?

still early in the season yet RJC. plenty of time to get some wins this year. i've had a dissapointing start to the season but it wasn't completely my fault and there's still plenty of time for me to get my 3rd cat license this year.

so tomzk111, are you aiming for your 2nd cat license this season? how many points is it again? 50? your already halfway there.

tomzk111
I'm not that good RJC lol

Yeah i'm aiming for my 2nd cat, but i don't want to get it too soon as the 3/4 races in the summer are more fun than clinging on to the Elites which is what i will be doing! Its 40 points so I will need to start being careful lol

You're not that good, yet you've won 2 races... I think it's time you start doing some of the harder ones Pfft

16/17/18/19/20th today out of 127 I think (have no clue, but it is one of those :/)

Was in a great position coming into the final sprint on what turned out to be 2nd's wheel.... when... some plank misjudged the final corner, touched wheels, and threw me off my line, slowing me down, costing me a top 5 Smile What a day :/. I move from circuit racing, into my first road race next week with a field of 65 riders Smile I can't wait Grin, I feel in good shape, and with some hills next week, I reckon I could register some PCM points and get my 3rd cat license Smile

My dad told me cycle racing is very frustrating sometimes. I see what he meant now :/.

Hope I get some luck next week at the crucial point Smile

my race was the same. i felt really good going into the last 2 or 3 laps and moved on the outside all the way to the front. then someone swung out without looking and nearly took me out. i lost all momentum and ended up 3/4 back in the field again and had to start all over again. it's not all about who is the strongest. it's about who can read the peleton the best and gets lucky with no-one messing up in front of them.

Just finished san dimas stage race. Mountain tt which I finished 90th (out of 105). My teamates finished 2nd 5th 10th and 30th. We showed up the next stage with plans to get the kom (our 2nd place guy from the tt had 20 kom points and there were 20 on offer) and we were planning some crazy team tactics to get 1st on gc. The gc leader had 13 teamates though so we with 5 were screwed royally. We got the kom but lost 2nd overall dropping to third. I got popped up the first KoM and tried to chase back on but that didn't happen. About 40 rider were cut along with myself.
For the crit we were trying to defend third and 7th overall and maybe move up. No changes. We ended up with KOM 3rd.7th overall 2nd in the Tt and 5th in the crit.
Ryan Eastman did the cat 2s race and the officials fucked his time. His timer said one thing which put him in 5th in the tt but the officials gave him a time 30 seconds slower dropping him to mid 20"s. He then followed the perfect wheel and got second in the final crit.

here's the BC report on my last race this saturday just gone. i felt like shit all day and was really struggling at some points. however i held on and made my way to the front in the last 5 laps. however, with 2 laps to go my pedal went into someones wheel and i lost all momentum. spent the last lap trying to get back to the front but not quite getting there. finished with the leading sprinters but at the wrong side of them.Sad

i ride to a place called delamere forest sometimes on a weekend that about a 25 30 mile round journey uphill there and downhill back. I will start riding longer everyday though now its going dark later. I need to sign for a team and i really want to turn professional, im only 17 so im still only young aswell.

You need to get yourself a coach. Check out the British Cycling Federation webpage, and locate one near you to help you out.

A coach will ensure you progress in the right direction, and will help you get used to racing, training, living right, etc if you are passionate about wanting to turn professional.

He/She will also make sure that you don't overtrain which is the worst thing to do.
