Aalborg have crushed Deportivo in little under 5 minutes. Impressive, can't say I saw it coming! |

Tottenham's hopes are ruined now after Shakhtar Donetsk have scored to lead 3-1 on aggregate. Not a good day for the English clubs, which leaves only Man City in the competion. |

FC Copenhagen did actually get a goal back against Man City, but of course that didn't matter.
Great performance there from Werder Bremen, getting those 2 vital goals to progress. |

Thats just not the way it works! Its an unwriten rule that one team must suck while the other revels in glory. Its a ying yang thing. |

the uefa cup depresses me because it shows how weak the premier league is outside the top 4. there really is a huge gap between 4th and 5th. i think villa will hold onto 4th this year but next season they'll go out of the champs league early and have a rubbish year domestically, like when everton qualified a few years ago. and then it'll be back to the same top 4 for another 4 or 5 years. |

Seems like Ukraine may become the Romania from a few years ago, remember when both Rapid and Dinamo Bucharest made it to the semi finals?
Mediocre night for the Dutch teams, very unfortunate how Twente lost, this time Marseille didnt underestimate them and so they narrowely lost 6-7 after penalty kicks However Ajax did win, normally as a Feyenoord fan I have a grudge against Ajax but in Europe that doesn't matter anymore and i'm glad that they beat Fiorentina, what an equalizer that was by Leonardo
Dwight K. Schrute: 'I'm not a hero. Im just a mere defender of the office. You know who is a hero? Hiro from Heroes. That's a hero. And Bono'.

Excellent results last night. Unbelieveable result by AaB. I was extremely pleased and extremely surprised to see them win at Riazor!
Unfortunately, the Spanish media (at least parts of it) has focused a lot on the ref's decisions. Personally, he think he did a good job. I didn't see Deportivo's disallowed goal, but there's absolutely nothing to complain about when it comes to AaB's two first goals.
First goal:
This is right at the moment when the ball is headed. It's very, very close at an offside, but not more than that.
The goal can be seen here:
https://www.youtub...Zkp7eGninE
Second goal:
The controversy is not about the goal, but about the episode before the goal. People claim that this is an offside:
The picture is taken _after_ the ball has been passed. Offside? Not really.
Goal can be seen here:

So, goooo AaB!
(A shame about FCK, but expected. Man City is better) |
