Despite my bad ranking last season, I won't be in plus if I manage to re-sign all my riders. However, I plan to get rid of some in the transfer season. |

Im happy that the salary cap does what's its good at: Shorting the distance between ProTour and me. I could resign all my top riders and still have a good amount of money left.

Makes it fairer in that sense, but also allows major cock ups by some guys, and it won't affect it as much, which is bad for those who've been planning since 10 months ago what they'd do differently. It's got its pros and its got its cons.

Alright thanks. Just wanted to have it cleared out, so I didn't spent 3mil in case I could only use 2,8 or so...
Are all PT teams waged the same overall? I mean, I have riders on 800.000, 380.000, 65.000 and so on. It all adds up to an amount at around 4,5mil or so. Is that amount the same for every team, or only for us, with high waged riders, from last season?
I mean Marcus Burghardt for instance wanted somewhat 800.000, that amount should pretty much only exist for Tom Boonen or so...
Boonen probably demanded more than a million.
But the riders always demands the same or less than last season so if you got a highly overpriced rider he will ask for much but accept a lot less.
An example: Ghisalberti on my team has now gone from 700 000 the first season to 180 000 this season.
I think SN and Crommy tries to balance the game thus making the great riders which have been heavily underpriced get their right salery and vice versa for the less good. And also make the game more even so that everbody got as big chance to win..

The only thing I dislike here is the fact that the savings from last season can't be put on top of the wages... I think something like 25% of what you saved should be put on top... Cause if I had known that this would happen I would've spent the last million I have on a great sprinter or maybe I would've kept Sevilla or so... |

Ditto. 1mil for a Continental Team was a LOT of money. I suppose I'll just use it for training this season.

Boonen easily demanded over a million, for sure.
I have two riders asking 1M+. And one of them is not Di Luca. |

You do have one of the sickiest looking teams easily. I'm not surprised.

If I'd have Boonen as well, I'd agree...

I must say I'm surprised... 1Mil could go for Cunego, but imo you don't have anyone else worth that... Di Luca was last year yes, but he's gotten a bit worse, and Bennati imo isn't worth it... |

Wow, more expensive than Samuel Sanchez, who's my most expensive guy at 437.500 - I have more than 1mil to find riders for. But I need A LOT of riders... |

-800,000 ish salary cap
Cancellara, Freire and Iglinski's sales should bring be back in the positive though.
For me, the transfer season is going to have to be very strategical. Its gonna be great! |

I must agree... and not... I can understand the big wage ask of that rider... and not... it's got two sides.
anyway, I'll just say who it is: Jerome Coppel. (the one me and SN had a bidding war for )
edit: Checked it; He actually asked more then Cunego

Ahh right... Oh well, he will probably take quite a drop...
Hopefully Cancellara will go to me, so I can finally get a decent Swiss team - atm my best swiss rider is Morabito. Not exactly impressive |
