Actually, i just read, without no good source other than Ritzau, that the former french MTB world champion Christophe Dupouey was found dead Wednesday, mostly likely due to suicide.

I would like to add to this that it would be a huge insult to the memory of Frederiek Nolf, if anyone thinks immediately this is doping related.

Blame Italian and Spanish people for that. Just read all those comments at both La Gazzetta and Marca... plain bullshit.

I used to be in the same class and soccer team of Nolf, Il eat my shoe if its doping related. The guy lived for his sport like no other ...

The elite mountain bike riders (and brothers) Manuel and Lado Fumic will represent Croatia instead of Germany in the future. There's been some twists about the whereabouts...

And the Damsgaard case continue. Remember that he said that he had sent internal tests to UCI during all the CERA-debate? Well, the tests were from the autumn, not from Tour de France... No wonder they didn't find anything Pfft

You only have to read what Ringo wrote on the previous page to see why.

David Harmon said the same thing on Eurosport last night, while they were showing the neutralised stage of the Tour of Qatar. Very sad news indeed Sad

Eurosport showed about 15 minutes of the neutralised stage - apparently Boonen asked all the riders to ride 40km in memory of Rolf - then cut to highlights of the previous day's stage.

Magnus Backstedt announces his retirement. He will still ride for the new continental team he has helped launch.

I bet this didn't come as much of a surprise to many, I think he's probably making the right decision too.
