At the 2nd climb to Monte Pitoro, Quinn Simmons attack, aiming to close the gap to the morning breakaway.
Quinn never make it and the breakaway was caught anyway. It comes down to the expected mass sprint.

Nicola Conci was part of a strong morning breakaway with Robert Power, Jesús Herrada, Warren Barguil, Jakob Fuglsang, Biniyam Ghirmay, Tosh Van der Sande and Odd Christian Eiking. The stage had several craches taking down major riders like Simon Yates, Valverde, Bennett, Alaphilippe and many other important riders.
The race was split in many smaller groups, with a little more than 10 km left, a group with Mads Pedersen, Jonas Vingegaard, Egan Bernal, Rigoberto Urán and about 15 other riders, catch what is left of the morning break.
Romain Bardet wins the stage.
Mads Pedersen is currently 2nd in GC. 1st in points.

A relative quiet day, without serious crashes and a small manageable morning breakaway. About 60 riders in the leading group, when they reached the foot of the hill, leading to the finish line.
Jasper Stuyven took Trek-Segafredo’s first World Tour win of the 2021 season.
Jasper leads the GC and points classification. Bauke Mollema 5th in GC at 10”

The rain was pouring down all day, luckily it did not result in any serious falls. In the final sprint Mads Pedersen lost the wheel of his lead out Alexander Kamp. None of them made it to a top 10 result.

Having the race lead, we took part in the chase with very dedicated and active Antonio Tiberi. The just 19 years old Italian was almost home, born just 200 km south of today’s route.
Another, a few years older Italian, Matteo Moschetti, was our fastest today, beating teammate and race leader Jasper Stuyven with a few centimeters.
Jasper Stuyven leads the GC with 2” to Sonny Colbrelli. Stuyven also still leads the points classification.

A very undulated race with a highly technical finish, on a rather narrow road with many sharp curves and U-turns. Alexander Kamp was our best man today as Mads Pedersen was not able to pass the leadout man.
Mads Pedersen is still 2nd in GC, but tomorrows mountain stage will be hard on his GC. He is more likely to hold on to his points lead.

A short but very hard stage with difficult climbs. Especially the final climb up to a summit finish at Prati di Tivo, with its 14.6 km at 7%. Obviously Jasper Stuyven would not be able to hold the race lead and the goal was the best possible GC for Bauke Mollema.
Primož Roglic won the stage with 37” down to Damiano Caruso. Bauke Mollema 12th losing 1’19” ending 10th in GC.

The stage was simulated by mistake – no in-game photos
Mattias Skjelmose 17th losing 49”. Mads Pedersen 18” at 53”, Mads is now 4th in GC.

Today we will reach the Adriatic Sea, moving north along the coast up to Castelfidardo, a small town known for its musical instruments, especially the accordion builders. Jasper Stuyven joins the morning breakaway, with Davide Villella, Alexey Lutsenko, Simon Geschke and a few other riders, particularly to grab the intermediate sprint, which he also does.
We get heavy rain in periods and many crashes. Bauke Mollema is in the fight for the stage, helped by Gianluca Brambilla. Søren Kragh Andersen got the better legs today, but Mollema takes a respectable 2nd place, moving up to 5th in GC. Race leader Primož Roglic loses 1’21” making the GC very close, with just 31” from Mollema's 5th up to Roglic

It is last day of Paris – Nice, although we got a short stage with a flat finish, this will be a hard day with 6 climbs. Most important the 6.5 km Côte de Peille at 6.9% with about 45 km left, the short but hard 1.7 km up to Col d’Eze at 8.5% and finally the 5.5 km Col de Quatre Chemins at 5.4% with just 10 downhill km left.
Nicola Conci, Mattias Skjelmose and Mads Pedersen, all sitting close to the front over the last climb. Mattias Skjelmose strongest today taking the win in front of his teammate, Trek-Segafredo's 2nd World Tour win of the season.

Jasper Stuyven got boxed in losing some momentum. Bauke Mollema took a fine 3rd place on the stage.

Pretty awesome early season so far! 2 wins and some good success in points and KoM is great, and Pedersen almost on the GC podium in P-N is a really strong result against all these top climbers!
And I guess Mollema only trails Roglic by 23" now after his 3rd place finish? Let's go on the final stage!

Thanks Fabianski.
The last stage of T-A is an ITT, so will be very hard to take time on Roglic.

With a fine ITT, Bauke Mollema passed Wilco Kelderman and Davide Formolo, moving up to 3rd in GC.

Good finish for Bauke in the ITT. As well as Mads and Skeljmose. Well done so far to you and trek with the start of the season!

At the foot of Cipressa, with less than 30 km left, Mads Pedersen came in contact with the right-side banner, the entire squad waited, hoping to bring him back to the bunce.
Trek – Segafredo was on mission impossible, Milano – Sanremo 2021 was won by Caleb Ewan.

A weak breakaway did not stand a chance. It came to a peloton sprint, won by EF Education’s Colombian puncheur Sergio Higuita. Bauke Mollema with an acceptable 4th.
