Nice work from Harper, too bad Kennaugh couldn't keep it up til the very end. At least he held on for 2nd, which ain't too shabby after all.

Can’t be too mad with how Afewerki is doing, all things considered.
Thanks for the report and congrats to the winner

Isostar alumni on fire, fantastic win by Peak. Let's hope he'll train well at Lidl over the next years

Had been hoping Bennett or Fouche could attack after their lost time, Fouche attacking is good and takes over white by a small margin but absolutely awful not to be in contention for the win, nevermind all the way down in tenth and barely making up any time when he could have had huge GC gains. Unless one of them pulls off a big raid towards the Top 5 and/or wins tomorrow this is a big failure.

Sucks that Choi lost a position to a breakaway rider after all that good workm but that's how our month has been so far! Hoping he can get back that 4th place on the last stage but with the downhill finish, it is unlikely.
Congrats to sammy and thanks for the report

Obviously id have liked some more stage points but further improving the gc situation cant be bad. Fingers crossed we dont choke on the last stage though we looked real good so far

Terrible day for Xero, but loving the Evonik domination in this race.

Outstanding performance from Wellens on Stage 5 to claim 2nd in the GC and then another very solid effort in the final stage from the team to ensure no issues.
Wellens 2nd in the GC over Dombrowski is certainly surprising but we'll take our luck where we can! A great race from Tim with some good points from stage results along the way.
Mas and the climbing domestiques did a fantastic job throughout. Although none of them finished in the Top 20, they were visible and active in their support of Wellens with Mas leading the charge.
Nothing to write home about from Ovsya but that's okay given the contribution in such a race was always going to be limited.
Congrats to Evonik and Pierre. Was always going to be too strong in a race like this and he showed his class.
Thank you for the consistently great reports which covered all of the attacks, of which there were plenty!

Now this was a great race. The GC victory never seemed too much in danger as Lecuisinier seemed in total control throughout. The team seemed competent and in control throughout and helped a lot on the forst stages. On the later stages, it looked like we were okay with letting things go a bit as long as no gc danger comes up but that was fine. A bit unfortunate that we lost the Kom jersey at the end but GC, 2 stages, points and teams are already outstanding.
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Would've taken 5th at the start of the race, so can't complain too much. Choi was very solid throughout and we get our first goal of the season. Also nice to see Leemreize on the U25s podium.
Congrats to knockout on the dominant win and thanks for the reports Ulrich

Huuuge last stage for the team. A little bit unlucky with the puncture, but nevermind. Thanks for the reports! |

Big fumble by Dombrowski. He wasn't attentive to Lecuisiniers attacks and then basically turned into the ideal domestique for Wellens. While third in GC is not terrible, he really needed to deliver at least second here.
Congrats knockout!
And great reports Ulrich!

Even with the high hopes I had for Peak, expectations continue to be exceeded. Slightly disappointed with Barguil as a top 5 looked possible early on, but 7th is a far from terrible result. Thanks for the reports! |
