Adidas-Eurocash 1st Transfer Window: Miscellaneous Free Agents
I didn't have a clever category to place these two signings but I'm excited to have them rostered nonetheless. Please welcome, the man, the myth, the legend... SAM BEWLEY. Yes!! We have signed him, a former 6? time monument winner and a legend of the Man-Game! He will be joining Adidas-Eurocash from the island down under, to race his last season (maybe 2??) with a bunch of young Germans! Bewley is virtually our only cobbles rider, so he will be our leader on every rough road we encounter!

Oh yah, I guess we also signed Gavin Mannion. He is the best mountain rider in a hills, TTs, and sprints focused team, so he will be our representative on the high summits of the Continental Tour!
Adidas-Eurocash 1st Transfer Window: Non German TRANSFERS
Team-to-team transfers were definitely my favorite part of Adidas-Eurocash's first window, but they were also the most stressful. I had so many deals that changed last second, whether that meant I had to overbid someone, I got overbid, or, regrettably, I had to cancel a planned transfer in favor of other bids. I appreciate everyone's approaches this transfer window, and I'm sorry if my ignorance to transfer etiquette affected anyone's transfer plans. But that aside, Adidas-Eurocash signed 5 riders for transfer fees from other existing teams. 2 of these riders were German, and I will discuss them in my final Adidas transfer update. For now, lets introduce the non-regional focused talent I brought in.
Adidas-Eurocash's very first confirmed rostered rider was neither a German nor a Pole, but rather randomly, a 35 year old Italian one-trick pony. Welcome Ivano Lo Cicero? Who? While obviously a talented Man-Game rider, I cannot find ANYTHING about Lo Cicero on the web. This Italian bullet, is the purest of pure sprinters, straight from the Pro Tour. I acquired him for 80k cash, which I believe to be a pretty good for a decently talented rider on 65k wages.
Alex Frame was not a type of rider I was planning on signing, nonetheless paying a transfer fee for. He's a Kiwi, he's a time trialist, he can't climb. Not really what I was setting out for. But I feel like for only 80k cash, and a minimum wage. It really was a deal I COULDN'T turn down, especially after I had heard that TTers often went for a lot of money! I have a feeling Frame will be a strong rider for us. I like his prologue ability but also the fact that he can be a solid leadout man or even a sprinter! Plus, Sam Bewley gets a Kiwi buddy!

And to finish off my Oceanian trio, I was offered Aussie Calvin Watson for 100k. I like Watson for multiple reasons. Firstly, minimum wage, duh! Second, he has an absolutely killer hill stat. I am targeting hills as one of my favored terrains for this season, and he will be a great addition to my hills team with Vogt and Max. Finally, he is pretty solid all around, and I liked the overall talent he added to the squad. (Also, bros the rizzler)

PS: If I got ripped off in any of these transfer dealings, kudos to the seller
I like the look of Frame. Might have to chat with you next year about him. Watson looks good in the CT. Sad to see him go but I needed to free up some room and I think he will do well for you! I see him scoring more points then Vogt in the CT but will be very interesting!
I think Bewley will clearly be your guy to go this season as he's probably your only rider who's among the best on his terrain (not too surprising with such a legend) and given the lack of CT teams with a focus on the cobbles. Apart from him I see some riders who could score a result here or there (especially Watson or Frame), but no one who'll be a constant scorer.
Adidas-Eurocash 1st Transfer Window: German Transfer Signings
Now we come to our big guns, our real highlight signings. Two of our biggest cash signings of Adidas-Eurocash's inaugural season are both German. These riders are Adidas' highest OVL riders, and should be solid CT leaders for this season! Please welcome....
Theo Reinhardt!! Theo is a very good sprinter for CT, and I could see him being a key member of our pretty stacked sprint team!! I'm excited for the numbers he can put up in CT this season, and hopefully he is a good addition for an only 100k transfer. Thank you Crabbe-CC!
And also welcome... Christian Mager! We acquired Mager for an Adidas-Eurocash transfer record of 200k from PT team rivals/partners, Team Puma SAP. I appreciate their cooperation in getting this deal over the line, but in Mager, we have another pretty reliable and well-rounded hill rider, but he's no slouch in the high mountains either, especially for a really cheap wage!
