Petelin is a steal on a 100k, reminds me of getting Bouchard for the same price last year.
Promotion on the way?

Will reply to everyone and write more detailed welcoming messages for the following riders. But short on time and just so excited to announce these!
Two big time leaders for us have been signed on big money transfers. Wilco Kelderman signed for €1.500.000. And Rafael Reis cost us €1.400.000.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | | Wilco Kelderman | 70 | 71 | 82 | 70 | 80 | 75 | 73 | 62 | 67 | 72 | 77 | 71 | 70 | 78.42 | 32 | | Rafael Reis | 70 | 81 | 73 | 76 | 78 | 76 | 78 | 56 | 50 | 64 | 66 | 68 | 76 | 77.83 | 31 |
With Reis our mountain leader we needed a great domestique for him, who happens to be right in our Micro nation focus! So thats why we signed Jan Xandri for €400.000!
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | | Jan Xandri | 68 | 76 | 73 | 73 | 68 | 74 | 72 | 60 | 60 | 69 | 75 | 74 | 71 | 74.62 | 29 |
And last but not least, two Africans on the FA market for decent price! Elias Afewerki for €120.000 and Kwanele Jele for €90.000.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | | Elias Afewerki | 73 | 63 | 64 | 63 | 77 | 70 | 81 | 69 | 79 | 80 | 68 | 70 | 71 | 76.07 | 31 | | Kwanele Jele | 65 | 72 | 62 | 52 | 69 | 71 | 69 | 55 | 54 | 68 | 75 | 78 | 54 | 69.16 | 23 |

I was after both Afewerki and Jele, but I'm also happy they ended up with you Both are really good at those prices imo. Very strong leading duo there, too. Setting yourself up nicely!

I still don't get how on earth you got that much cash (despite selling your heart and soul), but I guess great goal achievements last year and an aggressive goals strategy for 2023 did wonders
Really strong leading duo, that's for sure. Both riders had their flaws in past seasons, though, so hoping for you the new game version likes them better
Afewerki dould've been a great option for me as well, but with at least two African teams in the mix it was clear I'd have had to massively overpay to get him - maybe not even then
Looking forward to see the rest of your team, but if your leaders do what they should, survival should be an easy thing (with clever planning, of course) - and maybe even way more...

Congratulations on signing that leader duo! Then Xandri is a superb regiona domestique, whereas Afewerki is definitely on of the top African sprinters and should be well worth his wage as well.

Still quite tight on time, so the replies and detailed announcements are coming perhaps this evening. However, another day another signing to announce. (And another climber!)
This time around, our last transfer deal, and our only loan-in! Our outgoing transfers will be listed in a separate post but hey ho lets go.
Cristian Raileanu is the latest piece in our puzzle. A strong domestique on both the mountains and hills he will provide much needed work to both our leaders, Rafael and Wilco. For a cool €320.000 he will join our strengthened team!
And who else but newfound San Marino talent, Antonio Tiberi, comes in on a 1->3 loan. We tried signing him ourself but quickly realised our team needed capable scorers and big talents would be for the (hopefully near) future. We are glad however that our dear Antonio remains in San Marino, with him being signed to our dear neighbors, Sauber Petronas Racing. We wont give up signing him in coming seasons but for now, lets develop the biggest talent yet to come out of our lovely micro nation.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | | Cristian Raileanu | 66 | 77 | 77 | 63 | 74 | 73 | 76 | 56 | 59 | 70 | 69 | 67 | 65 | 75.87 | 30 | | Antonio Tiberi | 65 | 68 | 65 | 68 | 64 | 66 | 61 | 54 | 60 | 67 | 69 | 67 | 67 | 66.69 | 22 |

No offense (well actually, a little bit of offense), but I somehow doubt San Marino still claims Tiberi as one of their own
RL aside, great signings all across this page! Gonna follow what my old boy Wilco will be able to do one last time. And you're definitely staying in PCT.

Seeing a lot of great pieces here, I look forward to see your complete roster when you're done.
Hopefully you dont relegate so we could ride against each other again next year

@cunego Petelin definitely went for less than I had anticipated. And of course, I'll take good care of our boy Houcaine. Seems like we clashed quite a few times. But it was to be expected with similar focus regions. All in good fun however.
@abhi it was a bumpy ride at first but transfers really did come together for me
@Nemo I promised to go the regional way while retaining quality I hope to be able to train him in the future to achieve a legacy somewhat like good old Lahcen.
Kwanele Kwanele <3
@red back to back would be a dream, but we have to keep up with tradition and expect Colombini to not deliver this year
@Fabi Didn't expect to be able to collect this amount either. Although I can't show my initial budget, I'll try to list all outgoing transfers here in a minute which should help shape how I eventually did. I like flawed riders, I wouldn't say I'm a poet, but I like romantic come arounds and redemption stories. I did with Saber and we all know what happened. So I doubled down and picked two this time around. If I promote again I might have to get a third in and complete the fairytale trifecta
@cio its a bit iffy with what happened in real life but what the hell. If you're changing nationalties on one guy it can't not be him. Wilco will Kelder the opposition Man.
@Ezee Almost done amigo, be patient. You'll have to keep those hopes up for 2025 then

Time for some number crunching. We've talked alot about incoming transfers. But of course, a lot of riders have left us over the last few days. Lets start with the big names, the big numbers and the big new owners.
It wasn't exactly a surprise as I had announced it beforehand. But Lahcen Saber leaving was our biggest outgoing transfer of them all. Staying in CT, one of our newly formed teams reached deep into their pouch to smack the €500.000 on the table that was needed to take him to pastures anew. This season, our big Moroccan champion will ride for Italo-Belgian newcomers Mercatone Uno - Weba as their marquee signing. I hope he will perform as he did for me and warm many hearts.
Another prime scorer of our past season was Yveske Lampaert the farmer's son. Another points scorer, another new team buying them up. This time its Balkan outfit Stela-Vita who signs the West Fleming for €300.000.
Hill's antiquity Carlos Betancourt joins new kids on the South American block SEE Turtles for the minimum fee of €70.000. We hope our newly made friends will enjoy his handywork more than we did.
And last but not least, three minimum fee departures. Japanese legend and current road champion Kenji Itami joins the Metal side in Babymetal Cycling for €50.000. Lithuanian beast Darijus Dzervus joins him for €50.000 as they will both leadout the Belarussian Riabushenko.
Forgotten talent Ben Turner joins big time fan and returning customer Mercatone Uno - Weba for €50.000. As he attempts to put the spark back in his career with his mentor Lahcen by his side.
That's all for our outgoing transfers, the only other incoming finances are the €400.000 loan fee I recieved for Tiberi. So that's that. The truth uncovered .
News just in! Our most expensive free agent has just confirmed their contract! Amanuel Gebrezgabihier signs with Colombini Cycling for €180.000! Our opening bid of the 2023 transfer window finally comes through and will put on the emerald green jersey. Another great African joins the team. This time however, the leading domestique for Wilco joins. With his 79 hill he will be tasked to deliver our Flying Dutchman as best as he can to the finish so dear old Wilco can finish it off!
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | | Amanuel Gebrezgabihier | 68 | 70 | 79 | 66 | 74 | 74 | 72 | 53 | 67 | 69 | 77 | 66 | 64 | 75.19 | 29 |

I'm not a huge fan of Kelderman and Reis, but maybe they prove me wrong. I like some of the other riders though, Afewerki could be sneaky good

Our 2023 roster. (So far.) We are almost done with our transfers, so that means we will be looking at the team we have so far and how we've done in the window.

Interesting top duo there. Both Kelderman and Reis have sometimes frustrated previous owners quite a bit but should have a fair bit of ability to deliver.
Love the african guys behind him - especially Afewerki should perform nicely. And looking forward to see Kwanele Jele in a couple of years. One of the most unique riders added in a long while!
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

It's me, hi. I'm back again with a pair of signings I'm very excited about. With Lampaert leaving, we lose our main cobblehead. At first I didn't plan on replacing him. But the need for points can be crucial. That is why we put in a bid for British veteran, Adam Blythe. Who will be joining us for €90.000.
Our Moroccan sponsors expressed their desire for another homegrown talent. And that is why we can finally confirm the signing of young, versatile talent Youssef Bdadou. The €70.000 we will be paying him is more than initially planned for but not over the top. It's still undetermined which path he will take in his development. But his set of skills provide many options we will certainly explore. Our team is shaping up very nicely for sure. And the leadership would like to express their satisfaction with this years transfer window.
Nat. | Name | FL | MO | HI | TT | ST | RS | RC | CB | SP | AC | FG | DH | PR | OVR | Age | | Adam Blythe | 73 | 51 | 63 | 65 | 71 | 66 | 72 | 79 | 73 | 68 | 69 | 69 | 68 | 74.58 | 34 | | Youssef Bdadou | 69 | 63 | 71 | 69 | 69 | 67 | 64 | 70 | 70 | 72 | 73 | 68 | 68 | 71.32 | 23 |

I'm always suspicious of Kelderman after his underperformances for Phillips, but alongside Reis and Afewerki, you've built a strong (if older) leadership team. The squad behind them certainly isn't weak either, with plenty of names which I expect to score some points of their own. It will be interesting to see if you use El Sabbahi as a leadout for Afewerki or if he'll be riding for himself thanks to the presence of Olei and De Bondt.

Should be a roster more than capable to secure survival, but hard to say in a vacuum. A lot of it will come down to Keldermann and Reis who might not be the most consistent leaders of all time. You do have options for decent depth scoring behind them and a lot of talents with fun nationalities.

When I see Adam Blythe in the game I am expecting him to start commenting on races for Eurosport.
I went with 2 leaders last year and got relegated, but I am certain that will not happen to you.

Great depth for the hills and mountains with two promising African sprinters to add to that. That's a decent build for your first PCT season! Looking forward to see how it goes
