Reminds me of the scenario of Isaac Galvez thank god nothing sounds too serious. It will probably go down as the most unlucky ends to a career... |

Ive looked at the crash over and over again. And Ive looked at how Bettini went down. Its not a clear video and it being on the other side of the track doesn't help. What makes it harder to see is that i didn't see the 3rd guy go down. From the angle i see all it looks like is that Bettini slips when exiting the bend. It's not like he had no where to go. I didn't see a change, but there must have been something. Maybe there was a crash before and the bike bounced of the track and then back on, that would explain why he slipped and it brought another guy down who seemed to slip in exactly the same place.. Its hard to see what happened. |

According to various sources. Popp crashed in front, his bike spun off widly came back onto the track. Bettini hit it and so did roberts. That would explain the over the bars... |

Roberts was the guy in white leant against the barrier with Senges on his shorts
Ouch, horrible crash. Such a shame for Bettini to end his career that way |

It seems to me, on the sporza video, that Popovych front wheel broke off for no apparent reason. Causing the crash. Bettini fell over the loose wheel... |

German cycling is going worse and worse. Now, they have decided to stop a track project which was pretty much a copy of Britain's track project. |

Yes because the money of the government (stopped paying money in the national association) isn´t there
It was planned to make a track continental team with youth riders so they get experience |

In other news, a Danish sports programme (LPS) is going to show a 'documentary' / long interview with Sastre about his relationship with Riis.
This will be ugly |

For those interested, the Danish Team Reelight is selling itself on auction. Or, well, it's selling a name sponsorship, meaning that the winner of the auction will be in the name (Team Reelight - Name of auction winner).
Although the site is in Danish, you might understand some of it:
https://www.feltet...amp;id=379
Current bid is 1001 DKR (135 €, 108 £, 173 $)
In other news, Armstrong has announced that he'll be riding all the major classics except Paris-Roubaix. This means that we'll see him in: Milano-Sanremo, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Amstel Gold Race, Fleche Wallone and Liege-Bastogne-Liege.
Other than those races, he's so far been confirmed for following races: Tour Down Under, Tour of California, Critérium International, Circuit de Sarthe and Giro d’Italia. |

Stijn: He has done top 30 in the Ronde van Vlaanderen before, he wanted to win it in 1997 (planned) but in 96 he got cancer, the rest is known.
He rode RVV pretty decently as well in 2005, doing a lot of work for hincapie. So saying he will "get his ass kicked" is a bit overdone. |
