Well, that's my very selfish view, as I probably won't buy the game this year, and just want a general confirmation of this.

I don't think this is a selfish view. It's a highly pertinent question. As of now, the graphical and gameplay improvements don't seem to outweigh the various bugs and glitches in the program. Contrary to other posts, I found the game to be playable even unpatched. But the frequent crashes and graphics glitches made the entire gameplay experience to be quite unenjoyable, so much so that I stopped playing until the first patch. Now that it's out, I can get a better sense of the game since it definitely plays more smoothly. But I still don't see enough improvments in the gameplay to allow me to recommend the game to you. And the game still crashes fairly frequently.
I think next year I won't buy the game but I'll buy it the following year when it is fully patched. The improvements in the gameplay are steady but too few in number to warrant purchasing the game every year. That's my opinion of course! |
