Too bad Moscon and De Plus couldn't work together better, but my hill squad never really did so yeah..
Great ride by De Plus, but tomorrow's stage might be a bit too punchy for him, we'll have to see.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Gc was always going to be out of the question for us, but it's underwhelming to see ourselves miss out on stage honours day in and day out. Borges uncarachteristically passive today.
Nevertheless a great stage very well narrated, to cap off what has been a very exciting stage from a neutral point of view. Especially with Paillot holding off the puncheurs so valiantly. Izagirre should end his reign tomorrow though.

Slightly bemused by Turgis vanishing off the face of the earth, but a great ride by the rest of my team to keep Paillot in yellow.
It's not a huge gap, but if the break gets clear then he may able to hang on for the GC win if Izagirre is denied bonus seconds, as on paper this is easier than Stage 1 which didn't produce any meaningful gaps. But to be honest as long as he doesn't totally implode and brings home a good GC, I'll be happy. |

Overall decent race for us, would have been lovely if GVK could have defended the KoM going into the final climb but getting second in the KoM and having the continous drip of points from that throughout the entire race is massively positive for us. Obviously would have liked a higher placement from Faiers in the GC but overall decent performance from the old man! Also massive stage for Phodingam here!
Thanks for the reports and congratulations all around!

De Plus with another good finish, no gaps of course but all in all I like what he did here. Congrats Farfetch and thanks for the reports Nemo!

Moscon takes 3rd place from the peloton again - a shame so many of those stages go to the breakaway. And even a bigger shame that virtually none of those stages with just a final hill actually lead to any time gaps. So finally it wasn't really a stage for the puncheurs, unfortunately.
Anyway, it was a big performance by Moscon throughout the whole race; in a setting without a TT he'd probably have finished on the podium. Three stage Top 10s, 7th place in the GC and 2nd in the points standings is definitely a good result for a CT team - well done! Saggiorato moving up from 27th to 25th gives us another bonus point, too, although that bad first stage still feels like a missed opportunity... All in all, we're definitely happy with the race, though!
Congrats to Farfetch (once again), although to me it seems a bit like a joke to see Paillot win this race to be honest. Well, that's 2020 Farfetch, I guess
And thanks a lot for the reports, Nemo, high quality as always!

Nepomnyachsniy hung on better than I expected on the hills. A final 6th place in GC is very good, but considering that our rivals basically scored the same or a lot more means we remain status quo. On the edge of safety.
Thanks for all the nice reports Nemo

Had hoped for some luck from a breakaway, but we haven't had much breakaway luck this year. Ssabagwanya did try but I would've liked to see him be more aggressive.
Congrats to Farfetch and nice reporting!

Well, that's something. Completely useless in GC, but I guess Siska scored more points than he would've if he tried on all stages. Still underwhelming result, but not complete utter garbage as it was looking to be

It's a pleasure to see Phodingam so active in breakaways. Looking forward to him coming back to my team |

Well I definitely didn't see that coming
Great win for Paillot here, even if it came in perhaps the most unconvincing fashion possible (a poor TT and clinging on for dear life on two of the three hilly stages). Repsol scoring well also means the title celebrations remain on ice for a little while longer, but at least we stay in the lead. Thanks for the congratulations everyone, and to Nemo for great reports!
Now to see if Paillot can pull off a similar stunt in the Bayern Rundfahrt with more TT kilometres and just one selective stage... |

Impressive win by Paillot. Farfetch continue their amazing season! Congrats jph
Solid performance from Gallopin. Maybe half a minute slower than expected on the ITT, but he made up for with good performances on the hilly stages. Always well positioned in the defining moments, which is good to see. Great to see Vichot grab the KoM jersey as well!
And thanks for some great reports, Nemolito. Excuse my lack of engagement... been hectic lately with thesis work and moving.

Not happy to lose the race by such tiny margin, but 2nd is still good.
Congrats jph27 and thanks Nemolito for great reporting.
