Long live the Portuguese proletariat, then, and let him be a shining, industrious example to all true working-class people worldwide. May your nose never stray far from the grindstone, and may you always maintain an uncomfortable level of sweat upon your furrowed brow.
...
You lead a sheltered existence, my friend. |

This part was funny.

Heh. You'd be surprised.
I'm not one to tout Portugal above others. Quite the opposite in fact, but in my field that is true. Give an american something to do, he'll avoid it for as long as he can.
But hey, maybe I'm not qualified to make such a statement, I only work with people from about 60 different nationalites, what? every day? Hardly enough to make an informed opinion, right? |

60 different nationalities?
You must work in a brothel, issoisso.
And to keep on topic, the Giga Pack will never be released.

What makes you conclude that? Did the maker say so? |

Just a feeling I have, Crue.
Wildly ambitious project with a size of 1.4GB when it was announced.
Then 4 weeks ago it is finished - there is just apparently some problem with the upload.
I don't hold out much hope of it materializing....
Hope I'm wrong - but the Divinity DB will keep me happy until Crommy hopefully releases the must have DB for 08. And of course, there are Dankan's historical projects too... |

Sure, I have the same feeling. I just wanted to be sure if there was anything 'official' about it |

It's on my hard drive, so yes, it exists.
Simply, the guy disappeared. When he comes back, he might release it. |

Just a note to everyone, you must understand that he might be very busy. Projects can easily get delayed and undergo problems. Be Patient there no doubt that it will eventually get released. |

The project is ready and has been for quite a while. Simply, the guy was having internet trouble, disappeared for 2 weeks due to it, then came back, tried to upload it again, had more internet trouble, and disappeared again.
God knows when he's coming back. |

A possible solution:
Here, we have lots of computers in the libraries full of viruses, but with an awesome internet connection. He can put the pack in a 2Gb pen drive (which costs what? almost nothing...if he doesn't already have one), go to a library or something and upload the pack in one hour, the usual continuous time they give to users to be in the computer.
That's what I would do if I had something like that to upload with my crappy internet...

I'm being a skeptic, because I've heard that story over and over again. "Yes, teacher, my homework is done, but I forgot it at home / my dog ate it / whatever". It's pretty much the same as this case.
Anyway, we'll see |

It's not the final version. It's lacking a couple of teams and races, nothing much.
And even if it were the final version instead of 99.9% final as it is, I still wouldn't upload something that's not mine!! |
