Well, I was at a wireless enginering expert-company called RTX Telecom. They make phones and headsets for Skype and such things.
I didn't really learn something about being a web-integrator, but it was very useful for my physics/chemistry exam, as I studied a lot of electricity in that week. Luckily "electromagnetism" went out of the bowel for me at my "exams". I ended op with the best possible grade: 12. I guess that's an A (Or A*?)

Well, aren't you having some work experience placements on your schools? Interships ? I had two at the university, 10 weeks the first time, 15 weeks the second time. Both for my "bac + 2" and "bac + 3 " degrees.
Both were done in the civil service (I must have communist chromosoms somewhere, shame on me), in Quimper's hospital and Quimper's public buildings services.
Both were quite boring, and didn't learn me that much, as I had little to do, but that was quite a good time. It didn't really feel like exploiting what I had learnt at university, rather using common sense on the basis of what I had learnt there. |

I have no idea what that is in your grading system, but congratulations to both

it depends on the papers really. There is a mix of easy and hard. For example, English paper 1 could be easy, but paper 2 could be the hardest thing ever.
Just don't believe the media that the exams are getting easier, they're not

No matter what country you're in, one thing is true: in the 3-4 months after taking the exam, every person who took it is convinced that the exam they took was of the hardest level so far
I'm not joking, really.

agreed, but for some of mine i don't think that, for others i do. This year was really strange, a mixture of extremly easy, and very hard.

heh. I know the feeling. here, to get into the best colleges, your grade matters a lot. it's a formula that includes your grades from high school and the grades of your so-called "specific exams" count an enormous amount.
My specifics were Math (easiest exam ever, got 19.3) and Physics (hardest exam ever, even my genious teacher said in 30-something years he'd never seen anything like it, got 12.5 and I'm more proud of that than the maths one, considering the grades everyone else had and how hard it was)
This, on a scale of 0-20

Seriously? You got 12.5? I had 14 in that subject this year, Math next year, let's hope something really good.

GCSE's are getting easier
Anyway, congrats to both of you
@issoisso: Our exam system works as follows:
Top Grade - A*
A
B
C
Anything under that (D, E, F, U) is a fail

At GSCE anyway
A-Level has no A* and it is a pass down to an E

Not next year, but the year after, the A* makes a shock appearance in the A level system
Anyway, to clarify further:
GCSE's are taken at age 14-16. You take around 10-12 subjects, so get a very wide but not detailed education
A levels are taken aged 16-18. You take between 3 and 5 A levels, so get a very specific education.

Incredible. Congrats.
I got 1A*, 7As and 1B (I took an A-Level too which was a C). For me that was fine because I messed up practically every exam |
