Kraftwerk Man Machine Season Review


Better late than never a brief review of the 2020 season. After predicting a relegation battle Kraftwerk had our best ever season finishing 8th in PCT only 40 points off a promotion spot. This was largely due to our depth, we had 10 riders scoring 100 points or more, and other managers avoiding the Tour of America.

Mark Cavendish (SP 81) overperformed all year getting many a top 10 in front of better riders.

Lucas Schädlich (TT80) managed 9th in our home race Deutschland Tour and did a lot better than last year thanks to course redesigns.

Dominik Nerz (MO 80) and Marco Haller (SP80) had an amazing Tour Of America with Nerz winning the GC and Haller 4 stages and the points jersey. Nearly 30% of our points came in this one race!

David de La Cruz (MO 78) had a solid year, highlight was 5th at Tour of Poland and old Kraftwerk favourite Robert Kiserlovski (MO 78) showed he still had it finishing 4th at Trentino.

Our three headed Puncheurs Pello Bilbao, Arvin Moazemi, and Domenik Klemme combined for some decent results.

Not so good was our cobbles dept who only managed 38 points between them. Not a good return on investment, time to give up on that parcour.

I'm really happy Dominik found his place in your team and a great niche in PCT with that performance at ToA! Smile

Incredible how close that performance actually got you to the promotion spots, and I'm curious how you'll attempt to make that final step with age becoming a widespread issue in your squad sooner rather than later.

@cio It was great to give Dominik another ride. Age is indeed an issue that I tried and failed to address last year. Need to try harder this year and be prepared to risk relegation to achieve it.
