Was quite annoyed by my team working all day without any chance to win.
Well, normally.
Great to see Groenewegen with a comeback after only 40th in the flat stage, which was underwhelming really.
So far a great season for him. |

Congrats to roturn - great show - everyone waiting for others to open and wupti the sprinter takes it all.
Don't mind that kinda of AI - no worse than the repetitive breakaway win we often saw in the past on those transition stages at the longer tours - just more creative AI.

I don't like this thinking about that Herklotz and Spilak very likely have identic schedules this year.

Oh come on, it looks like a fun start to a close rivalry? Bring it on!

Having done one hilly stage without any real time loss is good news. Now to make use of what should be Taaramäe's advantage, the mountains. I definitely have big hopes for what's to come here, not so much stage 4 due to the downhill finish, but stage 5 looks like a big one. Hopefully he brings reason to smile and feel comfortable for what's to come this season at a later stage!
Big win for Groenewegen, congratulations, roturn. Must say I enjoy that sprinters give such hilly stages a proper shot, but not so much if they're given the chance because of passive racing amongst the stage favourites/puncheurs is the new way for the AI.
And thank you for your very extensive reports, Fabianski. |

weird positioning by Wellens, I mean good to see him up there, but still, very odd positioning. Looking good I guess?

Groenewegen winning is interesting - hopefully bodes well for Van der Lijke in future stage race action.
Kirsch looking more likely to keep up now with his training, fun to see if he can crack a Top 20 result.

Poor sprinting early on, but an excellent Stage 3. That's the aim with Robov + Vliegen, try and get in the breaks and just see if we can make something happen. No expectation on either of them so trying to get into the KoM or go for the stage is perfect. Valiant effort lads!

Another good result from Lecuisinier, and yet again just missing out on bonus seconds. Too bad really, as it could be the difference between a good and mediocre GC...
Herklotz will obviously take the points jersey, but hopefully Coquard can survive, keep 2nd and maybe take another stagewin.

Good to see our colors present in the chase and also Morton at the front of the reduced group. Hopeless in the sprint, but well, didn't expect bonifications in this kind of stage. So I'm happy enough with no time losses, to be honest.

Congrats to first and second! A well-timed attack deserved to win this stage, and both Yates and Guldhammer are great riders.
Herklotz did exactly what was necessary: grab as many KoM points as available, and show a strong sprint to gain more seconds on the rest.
I cannot be overstated how important going into stage 5 in the leader's jersey is, that should ensure he gets decent AI treatment and then it'll just be a stat check against the other favorites to the finish.
Considering this position, it's actually good that the climb tomorrow seems to flatten out at the top just slightly, that might mean less and smaller gaps. We just need to follow people and keep them in sight.
Shoutout to Janvier Hadi who seems to have overperformed here rather well, we need more of that tomorrow when the pressure is on our shoulders. Let's go guys!

So many wasteful choices. Poljanski spends a lot of energy getting into a break, where he does nothing. Then Shapira pulls the pack with Poljanski in the breakaway. Lots of energy wasted, that couldve been spend protecting Wellens

Pity that Uwizeyimana couldn't at least manage 2 point for an outright lead, but he did have to spend a lot of energy to get into that move. Well played by Godoy to jump in more efficiently and show himself out front.
Kirsch right where he needed to be too, a good day for those Top 20 ambitions.

Looked promising when we had Pruus at the front pushing the pace, but disappointing to see Taaramäe stay passive on the whole final climb and afterwards. Hopefully he just saved himself for a big performance on the Queen stage!
Also congratulations to Farfetch! Yates is a very cool rider with his stats, but no doubt a slight surprise to see him win a mountain stage in such a field. Guldhammer on the move is also nice to see, eventhough it makes me question our approach this transfer season even more, as it seems to be more than a tendency that slightly "weaker" riders stat wise more often than not gets the chance to do very well on stages where you with PCM15 expected the biggest favourites to fight it out. Congratulations to both! |

I've been away from Daily for a bit as the past month or so has been ridiculously busy, but having got most of my exams out of the way this was a nice surprise to return to! Thanks to everyone for their congratulations, and hopefully Yates can grind out a strong GC result from here... |

Im pissed. First Van Screwup in PN and then whatever this was. I was sure Vosekalns would attack now after pointlessly losing time previously while Lopez was terrible here. Terrible stage for me :/
A Big Thank You To All MG Reporters!

Nice performance by Formolo and the team. 4 riders in top 30 GC would be great, so let's keep it up.

Bit boring / uneventful for Air France so far. Quintana hangs in there, but it's time to make something happen... |
