lol Stijn, Vladimir Efimkin has shown way more climbing potential in his career than Stijn Devolder. There's no way to compare those two. Devolder came high up in Suisse 2007 purely thanks to his time trial. While Efimkins TT sucks and he came up high in gc's purely thanks to his climbing ability. Major difference there.

But I thought he had naturally high values
However, Millar believes that Mauro Gianetti, Saunier Duval's team manager, has good intentions and Riccò was more likely misled by others.
"I think that Mauro Gianetti has been taken advantage of and he is someone I have a lot of respect for," said Millar. "He does not deserve this and he has a good heart. He has perhaps put a lot of trust in people that he shouldn't have and he will learn from this.
"I guarantee - you watch Mauro - he will have an independent anti-doping programme within the team by the end of the year. He was close to doing it last year, and now he is going to have to extend his budget and get that programme in place. It is by doing that the sport will change."

To preface this I realize that I am biased with Vandevelde but, to say he was dropped really early in the past and that is why you think he is doped is rediculous. He has finished well on GC(somewher in the 20's in '06) despite always working for team leaders like Sastre. Also, he has struggled with back pain in the past, which the team have actually spent money to help, and he says it feels the best he can remember. For a while Vandevelde has showed he's talented, and with hopefully a cleaner tour he is improving.
and most of the other riders are younger guys who are growing in performance IMO. Except for Botcharov, no clue about that.

I think it is time to publish names of riders that have been tested and are clean. It would clear those cyclists who are clean. |

And if some of those riders test positive later, the tests are being critisaised

I think the reason why you haven't seen Efimkin doing that well in the Tour before is because he's riding his first Tour |

i don't know vandevelde. the years before this year he always got dropped quite fast.
i mean very fast
F. schleck didn't do to good last year too. thats why i have a bit of doubts. perhaps about kohl you're right.
but efimkin????
what did he ever do good in the moutains. and don't say the tour the suisse. devolder was there 3rd and look at devolder now
now i see botcharov was in the break last year . my bad
Vande Velde always got dropped in the past few year because he was a domestique working for guys like Armstrong, Basso, Sastre, and the brothers Schleck. When he did ride for himself he did great i.e. Tour of Luxembourg, Georgia etc... Now he is the leader of a clean team in a cleaner tour. Therefore he will do well. As for being dropped "very fast" and you "mean very fast" that statement is simply not true. top 25 in the tour as a domestique in 2007 proves he was and is no slouch.

I wonder why Saunier Duval was so strong thus far in this tour

I am usually biased but I don't think that Vandevelde is guilty and that is an unbiased opinion. I wanted and thought Landis was doping but Vandevelde isn't. He rides for the team that spends the most amount of money on anti doping and he is training as a leader rather then a helper. He never got a chance to prove himself so now that he is he is doing great.

ASO had a list of suspicious riders and they targeted them for testing. 3 down, more will come. Piepoli and Cobo Acebo are likely going to be caught in a few days. |

by the way, the other riders beside Riccò that have "coincidentally" been tested "randomly" a bucketload of times each, are Ballan, Cunego, F.Schleck, Cancellara, and a couple more who I can't remember right now.
