Don't minimize when you are downloading the file...

don't minimize? that's insane. you can minimize, no matter your browser.
if it says that it contains invalid data, the download is corrupt. you had bad luck or your connection reset randomly.
just download again and all will be fine. |

what browser are you talking about? Internet explorer is very poor at handling TCP/IP protocols, so that might be your problem...

I can assure you there is no harm whatsoever in minimizing
as long as you don't do stuff that work the CPU hard at the same time as it's downloading (might mess with the sorting of the parts) |

One thing which I think is general for all downloads: Use a download manager.
Several people has had problems with the GCT file here at PCM.daily, and I really don't get why. I have downloaded it myself several times without any problems at all.
So, try downloading "FlashGet". It's a really good download manager / accelerator which can resume your downloads if your internet connection suddenly "dies" |

everytime i use flashget, after 1 download, it dissappears (the program), it is still in my computer but when i click on it, it says browsing for file...cannot find file
but the free download manager that isso suggested a while back works, sometimes
