Well at least it wasn't a 0 pointer on our end following the puncture for VdB. The puncture is a real killer given it is the only way to lose a rider now that there are no crashes, it does really strengthen the impact on the team. It looks like he may have struggled on stage 2 anyway but that is likely because he would have used a lot of energy trying to get back on stage 1.
The breakaway efforts from Conci & Castrillo did help us to avoid the 0 here thanks to 4th in the U25, 6th in the KOM, 28th in the GC and being 3rd in GC & leading U25 after the first stage. These points may help at the end of the season but we're going to need a lot more to avoid relegation which, at the moment, is seeming rather likely
Always good to race at home, especially when the team turns up. Brenes nicely in the top-10 is wonderful, Goss with a stage and the points class. is fantastic! Great race overall with a few surprises on the mountain stage. Congrats to Ayubowan on the win.
