go play outside
Tour Down Under, 5 Stages
Stage 2, Mannum - Hahndorf:
Quite a difficult stage, and my pcm experience also tells me that with a Australian team full of sprinters protecting the lead a break could very well make it but then it needs to be strong, either Augustyn or Perry had to be in the main break today and after Augustyn's attempt fails Perry does manage to get into the break...
Perry in a promising 9 man break, and Perry felt 'excellent' this morning so who knows what could happen?
The gap doesn't seem big enough but the Saving & Loans team doesn't gete enough support and when the break enters the final hill with a high pace we all know that the winner is inside the group, 4 are left after the hill and those 4 are Bonnet, Jurco, Chadwick and...Perry! Perry is by far the worst sprinter but after a failed attack they will have to sprint...
Jurco drives away as Perry suprisingly ends 3rd, I guess the others really were out of fuel
Result:
1. Matej Jurco TEAM MILRAM 4h01'12
2. Glenn Chadwick NAVIGATORS INSURANCE CYCLING TEAM s.t.
3. James Lewis Perry BARLOWORLD s.t.
4. William Bonnet CRÉDIT AGRICOLE s.t.
5. Brett Aitken SAVINGS & LOANS CYCLING TEAM + 1'10
6 Thor Hushovd CRÉDIT AGRICOLE s.t.
7 Juan José Haedo TEAM CSC s.t.

24 Dries Devenyns PREDICTOR - LOTTO s.t.
25 Andy Flickinger BOUYGUES TELECOM s.t.
Stage 3, Stirling - Victor Harbor:
Perry gained 6 seconds in the 2nd sprint and since no attacks were being placed a sprint we would get in Victor Harbor...but this time Aitken wasn't the strongest and neither was Degano who did achieve a nice spot...Haedo and Hushovd were the contenders today
Left: Haedo's in a great position but Thor's comin, Right: Hushovd wins as Degano passes Haedo for the 2nd spot
Result:
1. Thor Hushovd CRÉDIT AGRICOLE 3h04'44

breakaway...he was feeling excellent and so he easily left Sorensen and Cornu behind and in the end won soloB)
