Quite a disappointing performance, compared to previous editions. Schleck has always led the attacks, and not waited until the closing stages - but here he never instigated, only followed - except for when he didn't follow.

Better to lose when trying, than lose when not really trying - and unfortunately got the latter today.

The wait for a Vesuvio win goes on.
