According to VeloNews, he won't be banned, and will only face criminal charges, most likely having probation and rehab |

Damn... that`s it, cycling is done, finito, over.
It can recover from all sorts of doping scandals with huge stars disseapering, thei`re bloody cheaters anyway, forgotten in an instant...
But when people like Boonen for some odd God knows why reason get`s to continue racing even tough thei`re on crack and all the fans hate them anyway... Not to mention that when young ameutur cyclist sees this , thei`ll think: "Okay, he was caught, but not punished. So that means it`s okay for me to take cocaine to, and hey, even if I get caught, it won`t have any consecuenses for me."
The best thing for cycling is if Boonen gets punished for what he has done.
Hope I never see you or even hear you name again Boonen...

if he is found guilty of criminal charges surely he has to be banned. Cocaine has performance enhancing properties. fact: If he doesnt then in its a disgrace and cycling authorities are full of shit.

Tour de Suisse just announced that they dont want Boonen to start there and UCI said they can take no action against Boonen so he wont be suspended.
ASO still hasnt reacted. |

jesus what is wrong with those people?
what a sporter does in his provatelife remains private.
its not like the organisation of the EC is gonna reject a footballer for taking drugs.
Has he ever been caught with real doping/ has he ever been thought of using doping?
i guess not. everyone makes a mistake. why do you guys want him suspended?
is he to good maybe?

This is real doping. Cocaine enhances your performance. It's not a coincidence that it's been used by riders throughout the history of cycling

by that logic, we shouldn't suspend Sinkewitz since he tested positive for testosterone during a month where he wasn't racing

Wasnt the test a few days before the Tour of Belgium - a race in which he won the final stage? Hardly a vacation

testosterone = doping
coke = drugs
== a big difference.
testosterone works much much longer then coke
and taking coke isn't that good for your performances.

yes but the only 'performance enhancing' aspect of cocaine is the rush, and that only happens when you take it, so if he took it in his vacation he wont be still high or benefit in any way when hes racing in competition unlike testosterone shit or other real performance enhancing drugs |

Why would I waste my time watching the Tour of Belgium?
He still raced there, meaning he wasnt on holiday

he didnt take it during the tour of belgium tho if he did then it would have been be considered performance enhancing and then he would have gotten a 2y suspension or something like that |
