I totally agree, providing they still exist next year of course.
No, now it's the time to create an all scandinavian cycling team with only scandinavian riders which will rule the cycling world in all eternity!

The UCI will not attempt to ban Tour de France riders from taking part in the Olympics. UCI president Pat McQuaid has said that such a ban was technically feasible, but “it's not in our heart to sanction athletes.”

49? Well, I guess that isn't enough to exclude Astana from the Vuelta |

This is old news, and ASO said it would not interfere with Unipublics invites anyway. |

Pat McQuaid has gone one better today.
He is critical of the fact ASO don't pick the 18 ProTour teams because all the ProTour teams had a meeting and decided they should be riding Le Tour.
If I'm reading this right, at no point did ASO ever say they wanted the 18 ProTour teams to ride, and McQuaid is criticising the democracy of the ASO with this example of how the UCI is democratic

It is ridiculous if UCI engages in a shitthrowing fight, that's not how you expect a responsible international governing body of cycling to act, it would not benefit either side and ultimately it would be damaging to the sport. |

If? UCI, especially Pat McQuaid, has been saying stupid things for years now. It's really unbelieveably how he can keep going on. I mean, there must be limits as to how many stupid things you can say in such short amount of time. |

UCI fined and suspended the FFC, the french cycling federation, til the end of the year.
This will have no consequences for french riders tho |

The French will not be allowed to apply for World Championships. If they do, it'll be ignored.
The FFC have been fined 10,000 Swiss Francs.
I'm starting to hate the UCI and i do favour the ASO. They are doing "good" for cycling with stricter doping tests, inviting French teams to a french event. Thats good right?
