As predicted. He's been on holiday while Leipheimer has been working hard and Kloden is peaking for his admitted season goal of Romandie (the other being the Tour of Switzeland)

Mark my words: impossible. he has a zero percent chance of recovering from the jet lag in time.

I think it's not so much the form as it is the fact that there are 4 TT... With Levi and/or Kloden as team leaders they can afford to loose a little bit of time on the mountains because they will get it back in the TT...

The TTs aren't that long. A 50km TT will give you a bigger advantage than 2 35km ones.
the last one might put be about 2:30 in Kloden's advantage, but I think the real difficulty for the climbers will be the lack of tough mountains. If you notice, there are really tough stages, but there isn't one that just kills someone.
Except for the Kronplatz. Whoever has a bad day there is going to suffer immensely

I was just saying that to a friend of mine... Kronplatz will sort out the Top 5 but that's it... This Giro is either going to be very exciting or very boring...

Exactly. What a lot of people don't get is that Bruyneel is one of the biggest pieces of the doping problem.

21 days. the problem is that it's going to screw up your training because you're going to need 11 days on average to recover from the jet-lag.

My vote for biggest "surprise", by the way, goes to Pellizotti.
It's also Rujano's second-to-last chance.

If it wasn't for the fact that it is Contador I would say impossible, it all depends on the competition I believe |

I think that the TT will be the decisive part for this year Giro, and even if he his in good form Kloden can't follow the like of Contador in the mountain while Leipheimer him can keep up with Contador and can maybe even beat Kloden in the TT and with no other very big rivals for GC a part from Menchov but he said that Tour de France was his main objective and Di luca who his just to bad in the TT and Contador working for him I can't see anybodyelse then Leipheimer winning this year Giro. |

has he ver been caught in all the years he has been cycling.
did vinokourov take doping because his team made him too or his team offered it?
the answer is no. you can't judge a rider because he rides for a certain team.
one exception : Festina

My favorite quote by Kloden is his right after Ullrich was busted: "He's as innocent as me"

looking at the startlist i would say that an Astana rider will win. I wouldnt read to much into what contador has said. I cant see why Kloden can't win with the others supporting as he was able to ride with contador in the tour when he wasn't riding for vino. I am a bit supprised that Horner is not there to support but its by far the strongest team but they just had not time to prep for it like the other teams so might just give others a better chance. |
