I'd love to test it and find bugs

Hell Jape! Great prouject you are planning there! I am really looking forward to this.
What would be cool for me, and i think everyone who uses this game more long term as a manager, is that you could delete the datas you have extracted from the database, at the end of a season when everything (relegation etc.) is done.
ATM i do this by hand with hannes converter (for example the tables palmares, dy_contract, dyn cyclist_career, dyn_cyclist (old inactive drivers)...and so on) to keep the database tiny and to have day changes faster. (Especially with huge databases and a few years into the game, a season takes ages to go on)
I hope you know what i mean, maybe thats possible, its not important though thats just what came to my mind when i saw your project. (When you are retrieving these datas, you might be able to delete certain data with a click as well)
All the best
Mike

err sry guys, that was for Dankan only, but no worries you'll all be my test guinea pigs soon
@Il Grillo: i know what you mean although i've never had problems with it even though i've only got till 2nd season thus far. But im afraid i won't implement such a feature anytime soon, since i have other ideas that i already dropped and planned for future releases that im more interested in(season planning for ex.) |

yup, not really any new info, working on the exporting functionality wich is the most difficult part that's left, other then that i only need to finish up the menus/settings and make an installer for it and test it a little. |

Well no need to rush. I'd rather it take longer and it be better. but it looks really good. You should make one like this for PCM 08 when it comes out.

yeah im seriously hoping they won't change the DB format again rendering the old converters useless like PCM07, but i think it should be compatible so changing the code for PCM08 should *knock on wood* be quite simple. |

Actually you could also try it with hannes since it's essentially the same proces. Although if i remember correctly in the past years Cyanide locked the beta databases in some way to make it non-accesible.
Also now that i think about it, if there are any changes in tables/columns, wich i pressume there are, it probably won't work since the tables/columns are hard coded in Hannes converter, so probably we'll have to wait for an update from Hannes. But it never hurts to try

.. but there's no rush, of course. Really, no. We can't wait at all, and we're dying to try it, and we kill you if you don't release it within a few days .. but there's no rush |

you're looking forward to it that much? PCM2008 must really suck then.

No, everyone got it. I was just trying to coax you into spilling something about PCM08
like "no, it doesn't. It's actually quite nice. Not a lot of new features, but those that are there work very well. The mechanics of the 3D part are also very well balanced and seem like a definite improvement. The management game has a few other options and the new form settings work brilliantly. Also, the track mode is very fun and addictive and you can really see a difference between the different track races, each with it's own appeal.
Not to mention that the bugs are suprisingly few and far between even at this early stage."
That, or the more predictable "yeah."
