hey, don't be negative. I'd love it if someone followed your suggestion
Unfortunately my german isn't nearly good enough.
The preceding post is ISSO 9001 certified

if someone who speaks German could ask whether they could make the game mod-able, or if they're thinking about it, whether they could, please do
No, you can speak english... write here in this english board, create a thread: https://www.crimsoncowcommunity.com/fo...y.php?f=29

I'm American- being positive is a way of life even if everything that can go wrong, goes wrong and everyone is about to die.

Hi Crommy,
the game is planned to be moddable to a certain degree. I cannot go into details here and now, but we will soon! I just posted some info in the German board, that I will in brief translate here for you:
- The game will be released this year
- we will go beta soon and after a closed beta we will get community testers onboard, as long as they signed an NDA
- More infos on the game will be made public next week or the week after that.
- Our goal is a technically well-produced game. We are very aware of the desire of the community for this.
- More details about the developer and the technical data of the game will follow shortly. Only this much for now: The developer consists of many gaming industry veterans who have worked on many top titles in the last 15 years.
- We will use a well-established engine. More details later!
- Crimson Cow, as a publisher, has, compared to our developers and other publishers, a very small staff. Please understand that we will more READ than POST here or elsewhere. Please don't send any PN unless absolutely necessary, and if you do, please leave us time to answer and bear with us, if you don't get one (right away). We will be able to answer some, but not all messages. THANKS for your feedback so far!
- The picture, by the way, does not represent a possible cover. it's just an artwork. Cover and first screens will follow soon.
- We are a happy and a bit surprised, that a single artwork has caught so much attention throughout the cycling gaming world. We are humbled by your general and genuine interest, and we will work day and night, not to disappoint you.
Thanks,
Georg

The main task, as I see it, is to make the simulation actually resemble real life cycling. Making the game modable is not hard. It's just choice. And as others have stated, not making the game modable, would be immensly stupid.
Will be interesting to see how they will adress the chaos dynamics of cycling.
Though I have no clue towards the sanity of doing so, I hope they will define cyclists drasticly different than Cya does! Taking into account a riders weight for examble? Making a not so liniear restitution parameter? Choosing cadence for the various riders, and making that a parameter of energy expenditure? Making the cadence also subject to training?
Being able to go to Italy while being in Mexico? |

Maybe but they haven't said whether you will be able to modify it.

On the German information topic it says "editierbarkeit ist eingeplant" Which, if my tiny amount of German knowledge is right, means that it is planned to make it editable. |

Just reading through the forums at crimson cow, and I see people asking for things they'd never dream of from Cyanide. They're discussing things that people have long since abandoned any dream that Cyanide might do them, but here, they are actually asking what they want from a cycling game, asking exactly how they feel a cycling game should be. In fact, reading through the posts, one thing has become clear only days after announcing it. It's evident that Crimson Cow has so far given us something already that makes me happy. Something that makes me believe we may just have a cycling game that doesn't give a random PCM.exe error just because it hasn't given one in a while, one where it is actually possible to do multiple seasons easily, a game where the developers actually listen to the community. Crimson cow have given us one thing so far, and I think we all want this to be successful. For Crimson cow has given something PCM players haven't had for a long time about a cycling game. They have given us hope.

*wipes a tear away* Godspeed those lovely crazy bastards.
What keeps me from fully believing this will suceed is the fact that they are going up against some with nearly 8 years of cycling management game making experience. That and i cant recall them ever making another game.
Also: If you look at the concept/something art right, you can see AG2R, Lampre, Quickstep and Astana's jerseys giving some hope that they will be in the game by a licensed manner.

first, I gotta say you sound desperate,
second, I hope they can make it come true and suprize us with a good quality game that is changable for DB makers and as bugless as possible so it doesnt need five patches to work. |

If you go to the forum at Crimson Cow then they are asking what you want. Everyone should go and post.
