I hardly have chance to follow a race, also something like a timetable would help.. I have watched parts of today, Van Aert again very impressive but as I heard Toon Aerts had the best two rounds. Meisen also in good form. Does anybody know why Walsleben has declined so hard?

Marcel Meisen had a very good race finishing in 2nd, I guess he has taken Walsleben's throne temporarily at least, as the top German |

Yup, he was great. One week for the worlds it gets very exciting. Van der Poel with a total offday, Van Aert recovering from an injury, Aerts out for the rest of the season after a bad crash last week.
Now that Van der Haar is back, it looks like Holland has the strongest team for sunday. Mathieu won't have two bad sundays in a row. Van Kessel was good today as well and Boom can always surprise.
Belgium on the other hand is pretty weak. Van Aert will be there, but one week without training will probably show. Aerts is out as mentioned before, Sweeck is sick and doesn't look well. Meeusen and Pauwels are ok but they can't win. The rest is top 10 max.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Wouldn't surprise me if neither Van Aert nor Van der Poel wins the worlds now.
They haven't been looking good lately and are struggling with pains/injuries. |

Well I think a part of it is show as well. Trying to make the other one the favourite. I would actually be very suprised if niether of them wins.

yeah me too, I think they will destroy the others like almost every time. But I can't say who's favourite for the race.. How bad are wout's knee problems and can Van der Poel fully recover from his offday? It's going to be very interesting i guess |

Junior Men Results
A fully british podium in the Men's Junior race. Not surprisingly won by Thomas Pidcock. He has dominated the entire season. No Belgian rider in the top 5 and no Dutch rider inside the top 10, which is remarkable.
1. Thomas Pidcock
2. Daniel Tulett
3. Ben Turner
4. Loris Rouiller
5. Antoine Benoist
6. Jelle Camps
7. Timo Kielich
8. Toon Vandenbosch
9. Denzel Stephenson
10. Niklas Markl
Women U23 Result
The Women's U23 Race was won by top favourite Annemarie Worst. Also an expected winner as she showed great form in the last few races. Belgian favourite Verdonschot dissappointed, as she crashed twice and missed the podium.
1. Annemarie Worst
2. Ellen Noble
3. Evie Richards
4. Laura Verdonschot
5. Manon Bakker
6. Nikola Nosková
7. Alvarado Ceylin Del Carmen
8. Emma White
9. Malene Degn
10. Inge van der Heijden |

What a race we had with the women as Sanne Cant defeats Marianne Vos after a last lap so exciting I can't think of a men's race this season coming anywhere near it.

Womens race was great indeed, nice to see Nash just behind two biggest stars of women cross.
What a demolition by Niuewenhuis now!

Let's hope we've had enough Belgians crashing today
Not that it would've changed anything about the result, fantastic race by Nieuwenhuis!

Well, that Gold yesterday was awesome, but indeed, as a Belgian you expect more. Kinda like Australia not winning a medal on the Boomerang throwing championships.

I follow cross for 20 years, but i have rarely seen so many flat tires and other technical problems, so much drama. Easy cruise to the finish for Wout after some very tough luck for Mathieu, he should just switch to road and dominate there.
Also great performance from the czech duo of Boros, who was 7th and 11th Nesvadba, probably the best country effort after usual holland-belgian show.
