I know that this post will sound silly, but I had to ask since I'm a newcommer to the ManGame and I'd like to know about the application questions in particular this one
If selected, how do you intend to manage your team?
OK, How I see my team in the long run? I'll start with affordable riders (not extremely expensive guys) for my initial roster and then gradually ascending through the cycling ladder.
Just applied for the daily management game looking forward to taking part if my entry is accepted first season so will be asking for advice along the way if that is ok good look to all competitors
Hmm ... this actually looks interesting. If I knew about it earlier I might`ve applied - although I`m not sure about the invested time the FAQ mentions ...
But what someone already mentioned, it kind of looks like things settle down after the initial transfer market. Not too many updates on the HQ either, from what I see. So does that mean the most work goes into preparation and then every few months an update?
Every race has it's own discussion thread so there's race previews, then comments about how the race went, if it's a stage race then you comment between stages, hopefully between each stage but sometimes a reporter goes quick enough that you can only comment every other stage where you reflect on the previous stage and look forward to the next one.
Most of my posts are in race discussion threads as I'm usually really bad at updating my HQ and like to comment after every stage of races I'm in and sometimes on races my team isn't involved with and find it easier to make lots of little comments across races and in response to others HQ posts than to create posts for my own HQ.
Other managers keep their HQ's up to date a lot better than me, sutty, Oleg and SotD are the 3 that spring to mind as the best examples of an HQ that is kept up to date off the top of my head but there are other examples to look at aswell.
off season is still the busiest time as it involves renewals, transfers and planning but there is still plenty of interaction needed during the season, it's not just a sit back and watch and comment every couple of months that some HQ's (mine included) would have you believe.
Don`t be offended I only managed to look through a few threads and the HQ seemed a good idea to look around to see how much interaction took place. Since that didn`t look like much, I decided I`d better ask to get some more info
If I want to participate, I want to be prepared on how much interaction/work it`s going to be. Don`t want to be dropping out halfway, so to say, or to disappoint people for not interacting. But as I`m late for the season, I`ll hang out a bit and see what happens here
