Well the reason why Bewley is doing so good is that he is clear top 3 sprinter and top 3 cobble rider with a really good support stats that likely make him top 1 in both these categories. It wasn't like that in the last seasons as there were many more super riders like Boonen, Bennati, Cancellara or Napolitano that took away Bewley a lot of points. This year it was mainly only Swift. The lack of opponents is way the biggest reason why he scored so many points. And even through that season, it does not mean my team is winning PT standings. It is not my fault other managers did not train their best riders and I don't know why should be Bewley or I punished for being currently the best. All managers have the chance to train their riders. And we already have the mechanism that Bewley's wage should go up by quite a lot after such a good season and that is going to hurt my team.

True. In terms of wages, perhaps. But he is still a mile away from Schleck this season. Why? Because Schleck can't ride every single race that suits him. Bewley can.
But riders like Schleck can get a lot more points for stage results and for holding jerseys in these races. And Bewley wasn't in ToNE and that is a race that suits Bewley quite a lot, hmm?
I can see only 2 possible real things that could be adressed a little bit:
1. a lack of competition for Bewley
2. after last year's cuts in PT calendar, PT calendar is in my opinion too packed for mountain/hilly races

But why should Bewley have 44 racedays when he is clearly the best on two terrains? Schleck have less, yet is only shared the best on one terrain. If Bewley had 34-36 racedays then it would be reasonably because he could still ride the races for him, but then couldnt ride a GT.
I have a similar rider (Spilak), but I have to spend a lot of time planning his season to get to where he is this season.
And sure. We could "just" train our riders. Except for the for the fact that no riders can possibly be trained that good. Most sprinters at a similar sprint stat have been trained for atleast the same as Bewley.
IMO the top one-day riders have too many racedays.

But it isn't about Bewley is the best rider. It is about stats he has. And he isn't the best rider you can have in this game. Boonen was better by quite a lot for a long time. And I don't think it ever was such a big problem that Boonen was so good. Only Boonen had better rivals than Bewley currently has and that's it.
If Bewley would have 34 race days, it would only mean he would have to race ToNE+Tasmania instead of TdF+Moscow. Not a really big change for maximum points value Bewley could get. And it seems like you mainly only want to punish Bewley and me, because no other one-day riders got any close big amount of points as him. You see the problem somewhere when the problem is clearly something else.
Spilak is the most complete GT rider in-game. By going with your logic, why you shouldn't be punished for that, tell me.

It isn't about punishing you. If Im not to win the PT, I want you to do so. You really ought to know that by now. I am trying to raise a general question, as to whether those very versatile riders shouldnt be harder to plan.
How many points did Bewley get from those races? And what do you think he would have gotten elseway? I think the difference could have been 4-500points.
Imo Bewley is easily the best rider you could have in the game, but his racedays doesnt say so.
You mention Spilak. Why shouldnt I be punished you say? Spilak has less racedays, a higher wage and is way more difficult to plan. How am I not punished then?
I dont say that Bewley should cost 1,5mio. I say that it would be really difficult to make sure such versatile top riders would be less influental, hence me suggesting that lower racedays could be the answer. If that hits Spilak aswell that would be OK by me, as he is also a rider that could win everything in a top season. But right now he IS hit harder.

Had hoped for a better result here, I needed more points from Zabel or someone here :/ TVG should take more points than my guys in the last races, so I think I'm one step closer to relegation now. Just have to look at the positive, my team should be pretty awesome in PCT

Well there are still two races left. I hope you do avoid relegation as, based on relegated squads last season keeping incredible riders somehow, your team will be an overpowered one in PCT.
I had a quick look over the PT pre-season previews and all 3 thought your team would finish in the top 10. SotD and Smowz even said 'relegation won't happen'. Funny how these things turn out sometime! |

Yeah. I was sure Pendleton's was going down though - And even had Metinvest as a relegating team - Good thing that it can't be all figured out before the season.

Under the table sort of leaders in Denifl, Cleays, Zepunkte and Zabel are backed up with really strong points scorers in Flugal, Monsalve and Preidler.
You know VW's leaders are so far under the table - they don't actually show themselves
You can actually see the flaws in that preview there, with several guys in that list hardly shining out at all.
Very entertaining going back and reading my preview if I say so myself - still stunned about the 'ice creamers'
