Actually, I think this community has been a lot more enthusiastic - and that's very good. |

Well, they dont have a choice since this is the only cycling game on the market..
Cycling manager 07 is a game who could have been made in 2005.. så I undestand why they are a little bit disapointet...
Yeah OFC you have the right to be disappointed. So was I over some things in the previous games. But there is a huge difference in complaining all the time and giving constructive criticism of the game. Sure you get my point.
But you have a choice too you know.. I just think that it's funny that some people say that the game isn't good enough and then two weeks later they've bought it..
The attitude towards the football manager games from the consumers differs a lot from the consumers of the PCM games. And it's actually funny because the Fm games are just a patch from previous versions with really small improvements and people just adore them anyway eventhough there are some bugs in them to.
Don't know whether you play FM or not but if you do you'll know what I mean.

nobody said that the game isn't good. i think that its a good point if someone says that the ai could be improved. although pcm remains a good game. but every game could get even better.
to the other thing about football manager: i bought fm 2003 and this year the new 2007 version. you're totally right about that game

it is funny, but check pretty much any game's official forum.
no matter how good it is, there will ALWAYS be quite a few people saying how much it sucks. at the lack of better, they'll complain (as we software developers usually joke) that it doesn't serve coffee and toast.
that's pretty much dogma. yet they'll all buy the game sooner or later.
I don't think they have much to complain about on the game's yearly progress. it's a small team with a small budget and limited capabilites.

Yeah but if you ask me and other fm gamers we adore the game.. It's just that kind of spirit I miss from PCM gamers sometimes..
FM is my game number one and PCM is number two.. And I buy these two games every year.. Have heard some on the Cya forum saying the game isn't good enough and so on and then 2 weeks would go by and they'll buy the game anyway..
But in general if people just are complaining all the time the game development team just stops listening. And some people tends to complain just to complain..

Yes thats why I am here..I had enough for stories..F***k this and f**k that Cyanide.
If graphic gets better then fine by me..but after all this is cycling manager..manager part is most important..and reality other keyword. Most CYM players is also football manager fans..that's says a lot.
Cyanide should work lot more with this great game enthusiast..Who wants really help badly to make this game even better (not my-I am wuss..when we talk about making DB-s.) |

Agree with you. I think that cya is doing a fantastic job. I have seen some compare them to EA and it would be comparing Chelsea to Bristol City. You can't do that.
It's two different market positions that the company has. And yet again EA makegames full of bugs too.
EA is a huge company with a budget that's maybe 50 times bigger than Cya's budget. But some day in the future Cya would become a bigger company too with more resources. All companies were small when they started.. |

I really doubt they'll become big, but the last thing I want is them to go the EA route and start making "all-quantity-no-quality games" that look very good and have a lot of content, but.....are well....crap

Yes it's every year..but what to do I almost accept it..that you have to wait for first databases..to look like and play even better.
But still I am very much greatful for Cyanide who made my favorite game..first game what I can play years and years.
Hehe yes what would you all do without Cya to make this fantastic game ??
Just be grateful for what you have instead of complaining for what you don't have.. |

Exactly.. All the EA games are crap.. Gets borring after two weeks. Some after one. But they look good. Sad that you can't use that graphic for shit when you think the games i borring..
I think that Cya will grow bigger in some years. They started smaller than they are now so they are definitely getting bigger.
One thing I miss is a formula one game to computers or maybe even a formula one manager game.. I would like that hehe |

COMPLETELY OFF TOPIC:
I'm a beta tester for this one:
www.gprm.co.uk
it's absolutely unbelievable, and I'm impartial because I won't gain any money from it being released, so you can take it from me.
Anything you can ever think of being possible to do in an F1 team, you can do it in this game.
in a short time (a few weeks), they should announce the release date (and it's about about time...it's been in development for nine years...)

I have to totally agree: I've got FM 2006, and I see no difference between it and FM 2007 - quite frankly, I'm not wasting my money on something that is just a very, very expensive patch.
Another thing with Cyanide is the fact they may not make all the changes the forum wants each year: they only have a certain amount of interest, and they need to sell every year to make money, so they need to improve the game enough to make people buy it instead of using a new DB with the old game.
You have to remeber that Cyanide is a business

Yes and as we all can see it is working just fine for them.. I've bought every single version since the beginning. Just like a whole bunch of other fans.
I think that the game is just getting better and better for each version.
This year maybe not the graphic but quite frankly I don't believe that the graphic needs improvement right now. And they've chosen to do something about the management part, and the transfer system, (It needed it). The AI too and that's more important IMO than the graphic.

Yep, the graphics shouldn't be improved as computers aren't keeping up with them. Some people may have up to date, incredible graphics cards, but many don't, and Cyanide needs to appeal to the many
