yes very ironic and annoying at times but that's football
and even more annoying Barca have put on the worst players in the squad in my opinion
Oleguer, and Thiago Motta on for Thuram and Deco
Thuram, fair enough but Deco i suppose the game is pretty much over though
and on a good note, England U21 2 - Serbia U21 0
Leroy Lita and Matt Derbyshire the scorers

give poor Motta a chance to feel he's a worthy champion.
a chance to feel that he can do something other than kick a ball at very high speed (he can't)
since, as you say, it's pretty much over.

oh and it gets worse
Lionel Messi OFF
Santiago Ezquerro ON
the only player worse than Motta and Rijkaard brings him on
and it wasn't Raul who scored but Lassana Diarra

even worse news
Real Madrid 3 - Mallorca 1
Jose Antonio Reyes with his second of the night, when he should've been sent off as Sporting said
and
Gimnastic 1 - Barcelona 4
Grahn the scorer, so as well as losing the title Valdes shows his talent by conceding a goal to a Danish player that Roo knows
EDIT: Sporting already gave you the Madrid news and yes i meant Mohammed, got confused with the 2 Diarra's

and no relevance at all now but
Gimnastic 1 - Barcelona 5
Gianluca Zambrotta scores in the 91st minute |

so full-time i believe in all games or just a couple of minutes left in some and the final scores are;
Gimnastic 1 - Barcelona 5
Real Madrid 3 - Mallorca 1 (i think the 'Diarra goal was given an own-goal by Basinas)
Sevilla 0 - Villerreal 1
so Real Madrid are champions it's Beckham's last game in a Madrid shirt and he celebrates it with his 1st trophy at the club since he joined in 2003
Barcelona gave it all they had but Madrid showed the champion material of being able to grind out the results even when losing
not a bad season from a Barca point of view but we would've hoped to have won the league |

so, addy...now that the season is over. do you think next year is when the guy in your avatar will get a full-time chance in the A squad?
Barça are known for wasting quality young talent, and although he is FAR too talented to waste, Barça has wasted much better talent.
so...do you think he'll get his chance so soon?

Grahn is not a nobody. Being from Denmark I know him from his days at OB, and he's a better player than the Gimnastic average
Anyways, who isn't
Glad to see Real win it though. Don't like their style, but i'm a United guy, and they do have Beckham and Ruud |

@Roo; just called him a nobody but since you've heard of him i've changed it too
'Grahn the scorer, so as well as losing the title Valdes shows his talent by conceding a goal to a Danish player that Roo knows'
@issoiso; Barca have been known to waste talent and known to not realise talent *cough*Fabregas*cough*
i think Giovani dos Santos is slightly too young still to be having 'full-time A squad' status, but i think he may make a few cameo appearances off the bench
but if he makes a big impression in the pre-season friendlies then i think he could get a few starts next season. The first 3 pre-season friendlies are:
Wednesday, 20 Jun (20:00)
Mamelodi Sundowns-FC Barcelona. Friendly match.
Thursday, 26 Jul
Dundee United-FC Barcelona. Pre-season.
Saturday, 28 Jul
Hearts-FC Barcelona. Pre-season
so i think he has a chance of playing in them games, maybe along with Bojan, Marc Crosas, and Marc Valiente, especially against Sundowns

yes it is and for those of you who don't know what issoisso is talking about
France international striker Theirry Henry, 29, has agreed a 4-year contract with Barcelona, coming from Arsenal for 24million euros (£16million), subject to a medical on Monday
one of the best (if not the best) striker in the world is on his way for Barcelona, for what an Arsenal fan on Sky Sports news described as loose change for a player of Henry's quality (a bargain)
to be honest i'm not a fan of Henry's personality much, but who cares about personality with his skills and with a front four consisting of Henry, Messi, Eto'o and Ronaldinho we surely have the most formidable strike force EVER!!!!
not to mention our defence...oh, no wait better not mention them (and Puyol's out for 3months btw)

actually for me it's the other way round. personality is A-OK.
will never EVER stirr up trouble, even if he never plays.
skills on the other hand. well.
check his stats. ever since he's been he has NEVER been in the top scorers if you only count games between the bigger teams.
he mostly scores against weaker teams where differences in pace are high.
I am in NO WAY saying he has only pace. but he does have a point to prove. especially since he's always been horrible for both France and in the CL.
will be interesting

For me Henry is on of the best strikers...he has such a nice final touch when he finish attack..I am not hes fan eather but he is good.
Barca is moving to Chelsea league. Its not always good to buy all the best and get logic..that now we win we have all the best.
Chelsea have problem with that...Real had hugh problem.
I like mostly fine built up teams..like Lyon..Liverpool..even United. |

yes they are all very nice teams you mention Guido
for me it's Henry's elegance with the ball, his touch, finishing is so elegant, that is why i like his skills
and i say i don't like his personality much because i feel he has spent too much time with Arsene Wenger, and after Barca beat Arsenal in the Champions League Final, Henry said 'They cheated' |

That the French,Italian, Brasilian way to lose (sry. if I offended someone).
They always victims of conspiricy...never own foult. That way I like mostly britain and scandinavian players..they dont fall so easily and if they do they dont die her at the same place. |

actually Guido, i've seen a lot more examples than that. I think it's very independent from a person's nationality, that each person is an individual.
especially with the globalisation of culture, people are becoming more and more alike. the differences are being slowly smoothened out.
that's my view, anyway on the losing bit.
as for the fouls, I agree.
those countries have colder climates, so a more physical play is common. so it's a lot less common to fake a foul, since the players are so much more used bumps and bruises.
for instance: something which is a straight red card in most countries, might not even be a foul in the english league.
the rules are the same, but interpretations vary

Yes issoisso you are right..that is mostly about personality. But waching a premier league, CL or WC we see lot of difference about referee work. Mostly I like premier for that..ofcorse there also some stars using their status...and Premier staring more and more look like CL or WC. But still it is more physical (not dirty..fear fight) and fun to wach.
Also Premier need to hold down...like attacks against goalkeepers (most vulnerable players when they play a ball).
