Actually hoping for a Gesink top-10. Will be hard, but I feel like this guy deserves it (at least more than Mochema)
I guess...
What annoys me most is that Kelderman was not the cause in any of his falls, everyone else is knocking him down
I don't know what would be better at this point. Him going on the attack in the mountains next and 3rd week would be awesome to see. But quitting, resting, and going for full Vuelta leadership would also be great.
Gesink miraculously avoiding the main crashes and actually looking strong is giving me some hope. But yeah I know how this works, my hopes will be shattered at some point
Like baseballover, its probably good not to have any expectations at all I guess.
On Kelderman, he could probably bag a top-10 if he quits now, but he definetely shouldnt abandon. Much rather be visisble on one stage in the Alps and one in the Pyrenees (he most likely wont win a stage - I dont feel like he is a good enough climber yet) and get the experience that is the Tour, since he in the future (well, I suppose next year as well) will lead Jumbo.
Vuelta Top 10 should be achieveable yes, would have some extra rest on the others(considering the TdF field is fucking packed) if only riding 1 week of the TdF(and most of that inside the back of the peloton ). He was 14th working for Gesink in his 2nd full GT of the year last year, would definitely see him doing quite well.
But yeah obviously picking up some TdF experience will never hurt.
I'm intregued by how calm he looks though, no panicking at all after his crashes and also calm during interviews. That's a good thing at least, although I prefer not being involved by crashes at all.
Hope he's okay when the TTT comes, after all, Gesink kind of needs him there.
Gesink doesn't need him here as Gesink isn't really a contender for a high place and its foolish to think otherwise for Lotto Jumbo, if Wilco is suffering which he clearly is then its better to pull out now and heal, he can come back fresh for the Vuelta

I don't know what Luigi is at with his ''Mochema'' thing honestly
Not how I pronounce it.
@Strydz
Well, Gesink is going for a Top 10 at least. I must say he looks good up to now, regarding that. Obviously any TTT secs he can avoid losing(or, with Lotto's current TT shape, win ) on the other Top 10 contenders is a win.
