A mac is a computer like any other computer. You can run the game if you install Windows on it.

Hi Lachi - I'm getting an error - gene_workplan is neither a DataColumn nor a DataRelation for table DYN_cyclist.

This happens when initially loading a new save

I had this error when using the 2013 edition. I have had no issues with the updated one so far and that new interface is great thank you Lachi. I am yet to reload it back to the game though.

UPDATE - I have now installed the Expansion Pack, when trying to load on the Planner, it starts off and then gives the error message: An error occurred - Invalid character in the given encoding. Line 688111, position 23.

This is a known problem with many databases. Apparently the game messes up some databases when you start a career. I recommend that you contact Cyanide and send them the database and your save.

Another workaround for the problem descriped in your update would be to open the save-file with pcm fast editor and open the dyn_track_cyclist database. There you change all the special characters to ordinary ones or just give the track riders fantasy names.

EDIT: Pls send the save-file to Cyanide anyways. This workaround can't be the solution. They, once again, f'ed up and should fix that.

Hi.. i have made an problem for myself. I started a game with Bardiani, it´s fine, but without knowing the consequences i made the most expensive u/23 team. This mean that i am on the merge of bankruptcy in august. Can anyone tell me, how i can change my balance with Lachi? i am not a total newbi(but close to it)... i hope you can help me, because i like this game. Even though i haven¨t had massive success, i won 3 stages at the giro and won the Italian championship.. i just "finished" signing riders for the next season, soo would very much like to get to play further, than to the end of next month.

After a while deciding with which team i'd start a career I eventually settled on Cannondale-Garmin. Normally I play with Tinkoff or Movistar but I wanted to try something new.

I like the squad. A good mixture between young and experienced riders makes this a good challenge. In the calendar selection I made sure I had races for all tastes and likes. Eventually I ended up with much more races than I'm used too but worths the challenge.

So it would be like this:
Talansky - A good early season (PN, Catalunya and Basque Country) mixed with Tour and the Vuelta. Something similar to Contador in 2014. Ofc not all of this with max peak;

Hesjedal - Giro and late races in September;

Martin - Ardennes, Califórnia (sponsor objective) and Lombardia. I've opted to not make him race any GT to be totally peaked for Ardennes and Lombardia. Next year it would be something different;

Moser, Slagter, Formolo and others will have other races to shine.

I expect this to be quite fun and full of attack throughout the year with good chances to have success.

Also I've started the development of the u23 team and started to look to new talents.

Will report more after the first races. I opted to do this kind of stuff because I don't have a PC with good graphical stuff so the pics won't be great to start a proper story.

Cheers!

If you try and sign a rider who has objectives that your team aren't going to be able to fulfil then they should probably refuse to join you.

The objectives take absolutely ages to set up properly, and I'm not even convinced that they do much good. It's just not much fun, and I wish they had improved the interface for this year.

Do you mean something like this:

I have updated my planner for PCM 2015 but I don't have the game so I cannot tell if it works (especially how it would work for the Be-A-Pro mode). But you are free to test it.

What do you mean with ' you have to create at least one group in the game'?

Hope its okay to post this here.

Been playing a lot of PCM08 lately. I have a career with Saunier Duval going, and in the first season I had Ricco and Piepoli as my leaders. Ricco won the Giro and came 6th at the Tour. The 2nd season I signed several strong riders, like Sella and Pardilla and Im not sure how, but they just keep growing. Pardilla was 79 MO at the start of season 2, Ricco was 81 MO at the start of Season 1 and 2.

Now Ricco is the best climber in my career for sure, and somehow half my team has developed into being capable of Top 5ing a GT.

To put it into perspective, here are the best climbers in the game (I have 6 riders in the Top 12..)

Now in season 2, I decided to send Sella and Piepoli to the Giro, and Sella came 5th after being in 2nd for almost the entire race.

My plan was to send Ricco to the Tour but he got injured at the Tour de Suisse and luckily Pardilla was in great shape too (he was only 80 MO I think and then just randomly grew to 82 right before the Tour making him a podium contender) and Pardilla came 3rd at the Tour, so that was lucky.

So I planned to have Ricco ride the Vuelta to get him a Grand Tour. He absolutely annihilated the competition and was going to win the Vuelta by 6 minutes and the KOM as well, but he crashed on the final stage...... Angry

With the team I had, it was a huge failure to not win a GT, and now I will have Piepoli and Cobo leaving because they were unhappy with me for not getting enough chances to lead.

The online guide explains what and where the groups are.

No problem, mostly just wanted to vent about Ricco crashing on the 21st stage, but I did think it was weird that my team was so strong compared to the others, I never remembered it being like that, so it might be a db thing.

I remember him doing that too, but in this career he is only a 79/81 MO/Hil so not really amazing, although still very good.

How does the scouting work in this PCM i dont understand, is your Scout scouting riders automatically or how does it work you dont seem to be able to send him to different countries anymore.

Yeah, you just hire scouts and the randomly scout riders. You have no control over where they scout, who they scout, age, specialization, you name it. You seem to be able to scout certain riders, though. Still, the new scouting is considerably worse than the old one, it is really a fucked up feature, imo.

not true you go to through the under rankings or any other team right click and select assign scout the rider then enter the pool of rider to scout next if you do not ask him to scout anyone then it is random

so basically you spot the talent he researches them

As I said, you seem to be able to scout certain riders, I may should have made myself more clear there.

Yeah pretty cool. You have to click through lists of teams or presets in the all rider's lists and U23 results, "spot" riders that seem to have a nice age and skill set and order your scout to do his research to tell you he has a potential of 5-8. Cool feature!

This is still a huge step back. What is even more worrysome is that the skill of the scout doesn't seem to play a role. It doesn't matter whether you have a legendary or unknown scout, the potential is always displayed in a range of 2-3.

Quick question, is the fighter skill still only relevant for AI riders? Its name changed in the German version, so I just wanted to make sure they didn't change the mechanics, too.

I guess he gets it right more often if legendary.
