Thanks guys, much appreciated!
I'm just not sure the last few updates have made it in the DB linked on the first page, so might want to wait for Atlantius to give the green light. But the first startlists will be out soon!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

You may have missed it, as there is no update in the initial post. I apologise but I won't be able to report this season part as I'll be in Italy for a while.

Jandal - should be soon
Cycleman - I know, just can't be bothered to update it. If you are available before/after your trip, any help would be greatly appreciated

Ronde Van Vlaanderen
The best Flanders has to offer. Famous hills like Koppenberg, Oude Kwaremont and Paterberg will seperate the men from the boys. Last year we had a truly epic battle between Greg Van Avermaet and Tom Boonen. The champion kept chasing, but the challenger didn't crack and won his first monument.
Usualy the E3 Harelbeke is the big test before the Ronde, and this year's E3 showed us we have at least 3 favourites. Fabian Cancellara was very disappointing on cobbles last year, so he has something to make up this year. He won Gent-Wevelgem already, but it's a monument he wants. Tom Boonen dominated last year's cobble season until the monuments, and this year he already won E3. He's getting a day older, but you still can't take him to the line, as our 3rd favourite, Sep Vanmarcke, noticed in Harelbeke. He won Roubaix last year, and has a very good team behind him.
But let's not forget last year's winner, Greg Van Avermaet. He's been having a really quiet season so far, but he can play for the suprise again. In any classic, you have to watch out for Peter Sagan as well. He already won the Omloop, and has the best sprint and hill ability of everyone here.
Plenty of outsiders here as well. Europcar brings a team with Gaudin, Chavanel and Khamphan. Garmin has Stybar, Astana has Turgot. Kristoff is another guy you will have to drop somewhere. Roelandts and Verboven will try to play their home advantage. Flecha, Langeveld, Haussler and Breschel will always be there. Vacansoleil has the Leukemans/Vandenbergh combo to try something with. Sky has a very strong team as well, led by Pedersen. Or will one of the lieutenants like Boom or Gilbert surprise? Then there's the possibility of the breakaway holding on, something teams like FDJ or Cofidis would like to see with decent cobblers who can sprint. The unpredictability of this race is what makes it best!

Thanks for the namecheck in the preview, looking forward to the start of racing and praying the breakaway stays away, but expecting to be waving the favourites past with 30km to go.

2014 Scheldeprijs Preview
A sprinter's classic, the Scheldeprijs can be a exciting head-to-head battle of many main sprinters, or freshness race for cobbled sprinters with a risk of overdoing, but as they're becoming the same thing expect fireworks in the last 10.
History
This year marks the 102nd edition of the Scheldeprijs and the 107th anniversary, making it the oldest of the Flanders classics. It's actually as old as Le Tour but only skipped five years due to war. Its literal translation into English is Grand Prize of the Schelde, after the Schelde river in Antwerp. It's been raced near or there since it's conception and recently has started with a neutralised section along the banks before starting a few kms north-east in Schoten.
Notable winners include Mario Cippolini, Eddy Mercx, Rik van Looy, Erik Zabel, Roger Dr Vlaeminck, Tom Boonen, Alessandro Petacchi and Mark Cavendish. Legendary classics man Johan Musseuw (a two-time victor here himself) finished his career here, saying: "I could have retired after Paris-Roubaix but I felt it important that my last race should be in Belgium. The Scheldeprijs is a great race and I especially love the start in Antwerp market place."
Two years ago Marcel Kittel won in a very close sprint, leaving him no puff to celebrate, and last year it was a dominant performance from the Gorilla Andrè Greipel in the first edition under EPIC government.

The Course
Despite having cobbles as shown in recent years the Scheldeprijs almost always comes together for a bunch sprint. It's roughly 200km of flat roads where your real obstacle is the distance, though with a good team around you that should ease the burden.

This year sees a crazy strong startlist, with many top sprinters here for the occasion. Let's look at the long list of favorites
Marcel Kittel - The winner of Milan-San Remo has a great train around him with Aussie Mark Renshaw as one of the best leadout men in the sport. Also has powerhouse and last year's Roubaix winner Sep Vanmarcke as a valuable asset.
Mark Cavendish - The Manx Missile is here for one reason: Take his win total here to the outright record. He's got a good team for the flats assembled to help him and Alf Pedersen as one of the strongest here over cobbles.
Andrè Greipel - The Gorilla is here to defend his title from last year and a cobbled sprinter in Roelandts could be invaluable to have. Himself probably the best cobbler out of the three if they mean anything this year.
Carlo Calzone - The Diva is here to show himself once more amongst the big boys. He's fighting hard for a status as one of the best sprinters in the world ahead of next month's Giro and with a strong team built solely on him, this is a good a chance as ever. One concern is his ability over cobbles, one of the worst out of the favorites and if somebody wants to up the pace there he could be dropped.
FDJ - With Bouhanni and Demare here with Lumiere and Bousche as invaluable lead-outs, don't discount the French team. Demare is a good cobbler in his own right as well. Whoever they pick to try and help win, they'll have a great train rivaling all of the WT teams. Brought a great cobbles squad too, this could be the team that increases the pace massively here if they so wish.
Fabian Brookes - The young Aussie proved last year he can compete amongst the big men of sprinting, with trusty leadout O'Callaghan and a decent train as well, don't underestimate this young man.
Mario Guido - The Tirenno-Adriatico stage winner will be there or thereabouts at the line, with fellow EPIC youngster Harrini a good sprinter in his own right and Dowsett a real powerhouse he can definitely fight for the victory.
Orica - A team full of sprinters capable of top ten with a good train, who they'll be supporting may still be a mystery but as everyone in their squad here is a very capable sprinter or lead-out they are more dangerous than you may think.
Abasi Abundi - The Nigerian may not have the abilities needed to be as fresh at the finish but if he is then everyone should watch out. Decent team around him and will definitely never give in.
Fabian Cancellara - Spartacus would be higher on this list but for the proximity of this race to De Ronde and Paris-Roubaix. How much energy would he put into a long solo? But still worthy of a place with his unmatched cobblestones and long distance power ability in this field. Could definitely win from a small group of escapees with a wily sprint.
Cofidis - Cofidis have brought a interesting team, all three of their top sprinters in Martinez, Petit and Kalatoa as well as Charlie Charneaux who should never be written off for the minor spots in this kind of race.
Sven Nys - The Belgian CX legend may be an odd choice but recently has found a knack for the right break at the right time, taking a handful of wins over the last one and a half years.
Marc de Maar - The man from Curacao may be a weirder choice yet but he has become very well known for stealing unexpected wins from the pack, much like Nys. If history tells us anything, never let those two loose in a breakaway together.
We also have a high number of EPIC youngsters participating, in no particular order they are:
Charlie Charneaux, Maui Kalatoa and Tomohori Hatanaka from Cofidis
Plusvite de la Lumiere and Erik Bousche from FDJ
Abasi Abundi from MTN
Tom O'Callaghan and Fabian Brookes from Bardiani
Alf Pedersen from Sky
Ilja Kusnesov and Carlo Calzone from Movistar
Mario Guido and Fabrizio Harrini from Colombia.

Nice preview, loving the banana ratings. Cofidis have an 'easy' top 10 goal here, will need some of the favourites to slip on those bananas to achieve it looking at that start list.

The PCM14 DB should be updated in terms of stats and transfers. A new edition with some minor equipment fixes will come at a later point.
Also I'll update the PCM13 DB a bit later.
