Thanks guys!
I asked for a Sky-like shirt, so I don't mind it looks like it. After all, Sky's jersey is one of the most genius shirts I've ever seen, as is this
Maybe only Lotto - Soudal's real life shirt is better
And, don't forget, there is no Team Sky in this ManGame reality, so nobody to sue us!

New Year's Day. A man in a suit finds himself alone in his hotel room. His new job takes him all around the world. The project is concrete, but abstract just the same. Without riders, there is no team. You can create an entire project out of thin air... You'll need people to carry out your goals.
The man in the suit seems well adapted to the loneliness on the road. After all, it was a clear choice to go through life without a family. He would create his family, he always used to say. You can easily pull together a few sponsors and claim to pursue familiar values with a team. Truth is, it's not that easy. The media might eat anything out of your hand, it doesn't change the fact that these sponsors expect certain things in return.
Yes, stomping the project out of the ground had been the easy part. But now that the ball had started rolling, fear came over him.
He packs his suitcase once again. The airplane leaves in three hours, it's always better to arrive just a bit early. Another meeting in the morning.
The season approaches. Sure, there have been some talks with riders. But nothing on paper. People are asking questions. People are getting nervous.
The man falls back on the bed. He's got a terrible headache. |

What The Hell Are You Doing?
03/01/2015
I mean, it's a valid question. But here he is anyway. Despite the aformentioned team dreams and ambitions, an extra five goals have been thrown into the world to devour. SanCor Cycling Team goes into their first professional season with the following mindset:
Stage Win: [C2HC] Ruta America del Sur
Win: C2 Tour de San Luis
Win: Clasico San Cristobal
Top 10: CT Team Standings
KoM: Giro del Capo
The South American races are, of course, very important to the team.
"What the hell are you doing?" The question haunts him. The journalist who asked it has a reputation of being a jerk, but the question stands.
In the end, you can make all the promises in the world. The riders will have to do the talking, with their legs.
Yet, the problem remains. Where are the riders? |

So far, it's looking good to secure a mostly Argentine squad, mixed with some Colombian talent!

I do like the focused Argentinean feel here. We won the Ruta America del Sur and Tour de San Luis last year, I wonder if SanCor can do the double this time around? |

Thanks The Rider. Doing the double would make our season completely perfect, but it won't be easy. Glad you like the Argentinean feel, we're all about representing our country! |

Only days ago, nightmares haunted him. Now, he stands proud in front of a medium sized crowd outside the SanCor building in Argentina.
The microphone gives feedback, forcing every journalist to cover his ears. After the technical issues, he is free to speak, however.
"Welcome, ladies and gentlemen of the press. SanCor Cycling Team is building towards a great future. Today, we are proud to present a big part of the upcoming season. While some deals are still being finalized, we can already present 14 riders who will defend the SanCor colors for the upcoming season."
The SanCor team manager smirks as he presents every single name with a sense of pride. And why shouldn't he?
Richeze, the B World Champion, has come home to the Argentine team to do one thing: win sprints. As a lead-out, Lucas Haedo, Herrera and Clavero can definitely count!
Moyano is another Argentine name on the team that the team manager speaks highly off. After going on for five minutes, he gives the press a thumbs-up and continues.
So what is he still looking for? Butler, the team manger, obviously had this question prepared in his hotel suite.
"We are still finalizing some deals. We can't give out too many details but let it be said we're still looking for a few riders. Firstly we want to strenghten our lead-out even further. A World Champion deserves a worthy lead-out, so we plan to give him that. We're looking towards the European market to bring in a team captain, someone who was brought up with cycling in his blood.
Furthermore, we're looking to increase our climbing squad. But more details will surely follow. So far, we're very happy with our squad. We couldn't be more happy, actually." |

Yeah we're not aiming for the Tour of Flanders any time soon
Still, extremely happy to have both Richeze and Moyano. Richeze wasn't even a realistic goal for us until we found out he was a free agent. then we decided we would bid any amount of money for him
Might be unwise, but got him at 200,000 wage so that's not overpaying for a subtop sprinter! Especially in CT he should come in handy!
I also want to thank everyone involved in the transfer deals I did. Thanks for making it so easy and it's great to have good contacts!

200k is pretty good value for such a good sprinter - even more so that he is Argentinian. You'd better get Jakstar to work on a suitable B World Champion jersey! It will fit in well with your already blue design.
The likes of Rosas and Moyano should both be useful as this level as well. You've done well to almost have a full squad already!

Thanks guys! Yeah, I've contacted Jakstar22. Having that jersey already makes my season, to be honest
And, indeed, the fact that he's Argentinian makes things perfect for us. We couldn't have asked for a better start in the ManGame. I'm really enjoying it now. Got myself a team I'm very happy with, doing much better than I thought I would.
The Argentine focus is really doing a lot. I always wondered if I would join the ManGame how I would do it. With this nation-team, I'm really enjoying myself!
Rosas will be helpful for the time trials and Moyano should do well on the mountain stages!
Just a few more additions coming. I hope an 18-men squad is sufficient to do well

INTERVIEW: Maximiliano Richeze
Here's a piece on Richeze in the local newspaper, shortly after announcing his transfer to SanCor Cycling Team!
Richeze: The Argentine Superstar
With the new season approaching quickly, this reporter found himself in Argentina. What was I doing here? Some might ask that valid question. But it's simple. With SanCor Cycling Team, the world will start to know Argentine cycling more and more. This is just a beginning. B World Champion Richeze is a key in SanCor's plans...
We slowly await the arrival of the new Argentine superstar. Maximiliano Richeze, born in Buenos Aires in 1983, has just signed a contract with the new Argentine team SanCor Cycling Team.
We see a car approaching... It's Richeze! He gets out of the car and some man in a suit helps him to the microphone. All of us members of the press have been anxiously awaiting Richeze. And not just today.
After the many questions, I make my way to the front. I have an appointment with the topsprinter. Ten minutes later, I'm comfortablty in a chair, face to face with this local hero.
Good day, Mr. Richeze. Thanks for making time for us.
That goes without saying, my friend. Call me Max.
So, Max. SanCor Cycling Team. Does it feel like coming home?
Oh yeah, definitely. I mean, don't get me wrong, Allianz-BMW was a fantastic team and it has been a great experience. But once I heard about SanCor, of course I was interested. Some say it's a step down, to CT level, but it doesn't outweight coming home. I'll wear the SanCor colors with pride.
Have you met any of your new team mates already?
No, I haven't met with anyone personally, I mean in the last few days. I've had a great talk with the manager where we discussed the upcoming season and all. But I've heard Lucas will be joining the team, that's just great.
So what will the 2015 season bring for you?
I can't really say too much about that yet, sorry.
Just a few months ago, you came out on top in the B World Championships. How did this affect your off-season?
Of course, the B Worlds was a day to celebrate. That sprint was probably the most important moment in my career, and I realize it could've gone either way, it was really close. But I ended up as the winner, and I'll be enjoying every single race in the jersey.
But I've been training hard, these last few weeks. And now that I've signed with SanCor, I have even more motivation to make it work in the upcoming season.
Richeze winning the B Worlds in 2014
So any specific goals for this season?
Like I said before, I can't really talk about the upcoming season. Mainly because the calendar is still very unclear. But I've understood the team counts on my for winning a stage in the Tour of San Luis, as well as in the South American Tour, too. I'll be ready for that. If I can finish the season with a few wins, I'll be happy.
Are you a milk drinker?
[laughs] Well, I drink milk at breakfast, yes. Though not a day where I have to cycle, it's too heavy on my stomach then. But I'm crazy about cheese!
I hope you bartered for free cheese along with your contract.
[laughs] Well, I did accept reduced wage for free cheese, you know. No, seriously, I think SanCor is a great sponsor for cycling. I am all for promoting a healthy lifestyle.
Lastly, any words on the team manager, Ian Butler?
I've only met the guy once or twice, but he seems an okay bloke. He's real passionate about the team and he wants to make it work. He made me an honorable offer and treats everyone with respect, so I think we'll get along fine. Good relations are important in this line of business.
[The man in the suit taps Richeze on the shoulder and aims at the clock, hanging in the hotel lobby]
Thanks for making time for us, Max. We're going to let you go.
Thank you!
